Personally I'm thinking he was just approving of werewolves in general and is trying to lead us by his example. Misunderstandment and persecution of lycanthrope-Americans will not end until we are willing to stop the hate and accept them as our own. It is a difficult trek and there will still be multiple mauled bodies and silver carrying posses, but I think we as a country can overcome it and make this truly the land of the free.
