This is a total first for me. I think. Have I planted one before? I honestly don't remember.

Anyway, the StudMuffin (sir snores-a-lot) is going to be doing the grunt work. I'll be doing my best to keep from rolling around in the fresh loam like a sex crazed teenaged boy locked in a cheerleader's lockerroom.

Have I mentioned that I adore dirt? I do. Unless there's worms in there having an orgy. I'd prefer to give them privacy.

We're growing tomatoes of some sort, grape tomatoes of some sort, jalapeno peppers, peas, lettuce, radishes, broccoli, red peppers, yellow peppers, and nasturtium.

You knowthat nasturtium is edible? I like to candy the petals and put it on wedding cakes.

'Nasty urchins', very tasty, really brighten up the summer salads. I love growing them up rock walls.

Dirt, yum, love it....I actually saw a dirt perfume in a catalouge. I came pretty close to buying it!!

:D

hey km...good luck with your garden...i always have a little one with fresh tomatos and peppers and stuff...a piece of un-asked-for advice...plant your jalapenos and your other peppers, i'm assuming they're bell peppers, on opposite ends of the garden..if you plant them close they'll cross pollenate and your bell peppers will be hot...try some herbs and mint too...have fun...

Toss in some herbs, too. There's nothing like having fresh tarragon for salad dressings, or basil for pesto, or thyme for most foods, or...or...

I had to leave rasied, carefully tended herb beds behind. Makes me sad. I use fresh herbs in everything i cook - or would, if i had them.

There's nothing like starting over, i always say.

cym, you should devide the plants in your old garden and bring them over. That way you don't have to start from scratch, and you have something from your well-loved old garden.

Oh my god. Muffin is Martha Stewart.

Only if Martha looks like a big-tittied version of Salma Hayeck with a J-Lo ass.

K, I missed this... I like her again :D

I have no bloody idea, they just showed up and started piddling all over the landscape.

Gardening update: The stud is doing the work the muffin is sitting on her ass *pretending* waiting for the dishwater to cool down.

You live in the chef salad of america, cym. Make PC come to your house and do his agronomy thing. I guarandamntee you that you'll drool everytime you see a farmer's tan.

Don't forget the flowers. Calendula,gladiolus...
One of my favorite corn and snow peas. The peas will climb on the corn. Lovely and delicious. Since you don't have late frost problem. I am jalous.
Good luck and enjoy

I live in the Bay area, Muff. PC lives someplace in LA or the Valley or some other place far far away. I don't do long-distance things.
;)

Anything we grow around here is doomed to die of 4 week drought followed by a tornado and of course the year long 50-foot slugs. Goddamn slugs.

like that Far Side cartoon with the penguins
