He's a former Congressman who managed to become both the VP and the President of the United States. He's been told he did both jobs perfectly and that he's "a good boy" by those around him.
He will spend the rest of his days being "cared for" by hired help who don't really give a shit about him at all, they just need the money. Meanwhile the ones who propped him up, said they love him, and praised him for all he's done, walk away and leave him alone because there's another private gala to attend and that's where the rich and powerful will be.
