Hi, I've been a writer for some time now, and I've only recently found my way into the world of erotic writing. It is not what I expected at all, of course there is an attmpt to arouse the reader. But overall, the stories I've read have been tasteful and well written. I've just submitted my first story, and am looking forward to sharing my work with you.

Also, I would love any tips you veterans can give me on how to write these things( Yes I know there are articles up already) But I'd love to hear some of your thoughts.

As for tips on writing erotica, well, the same tips on writing anything go into it -- show, don't tell; proofread-proofread-proofread; interesting characters; compelling storylines; etc.

When it comes to specifics on smut, don't use _specifics_ (a lot of people around here don't care for stories with detailed measurements in descriptions -- cup size, inches, whatever), and look out for exaggerated moans/groans/grunts in dialogue.

Personally, I like stories with story. I like to see and write stuff different from the standard. Exciting twists, unusual ideas, exotic settings, anything that stands out from the glut of the majority.

I also believe the use of "Sally" should somehow be combined with "Dick" and "Jane". They're all grown up now, all three definitely over eighteen years of age (Laurel, please note the qualification). Many readers do check out this site for the quick jack-off story, but most want a bit of substance and style with the eroticism.
