I made the mistake of reading over some of your old emails today. It's not that I'm sad, but I genuinely miss you. I miss how excited I once made you...not because I need the reassurance, but because I liked seeing you so fucking happy. I know I'm not the end all be all, but you seemed more pleased with yourself and life and the world then...and I know a lot of it was you thinking that in me you suddenly found something that was missing...but that turned out not to be. It does make me sad that I let you down in some way. It does make me sad that that 'perfect' time couldn't last longer, but mostly, I just miss you.
