I'm just going to put this out there

I own a book my ancestor published back a long time ago. Its about ordinary life in Illinois about 1820. The nearest store was 70 miles away, and folks went to the store once a year, to trade stuff for bullets and beans and cloth and needles. One young man bought his wife a new cloth bonnet, and it was a scandal. It was a scandal, my ancestor said, because no woman ever got anything new. The women were pissed, and the men were embarrassed about a modest Leghorn Bonnet. Women made do and repaired clothing till someone had the decency to die and leave them better stuff.

People been pissed since Christ was a lowly corporal.

A generation from now, when all are gay and community orgamizers, they'll be rabid about some new outrage and oppression.

Now wasn't this fun?

We hit on many of the points and were even shown an example of Protective Vindictiveness.

All in all, a successful thread.

I see people my age who get upset at the smallest thing and think a law needs to be made to protect them. I just wonder how they will deal with a real crisis, like being mugged, or having their house burn down, or having a loved one die? What will they do then?

Great, I'm finally old enough to be a dirty old man...and I don't want to stick my dick near anything under 30. Make that 40.

I bought a drink for a coed, she called it a microaggression. She still gulped it down her entitled throat while she spouted bullshit.
