I'm sure I'm alone here but there's a part of me that wants to see Canada lose today. Hockey Canada needs to break out of the "It's all about winning at the junior level" philosophy and look away from coaches who want to shut the international game down. PUt offensive talent on the ice, develop skilled players, don't take a bunch of 19 year old penalty killers.

I'll still be rooting for them but the last few tournaments have been drearily dull to watch.

During the lockout year it was loaded with skilled players, yes.

But did you actually watch the tournament last year? Or this year? Who's been their impressive offensive players? Did you watch the USA game?

Right, because Canada doesn't have anyone who can step up and break through a decent offensive system. For Canada to win, they need to completely shut down the other team.

I think that's an anachronistic outlook. The 2004 Juniors were just as team oriented as any edition but had awesome offensive skill and talent. Crosby was on the second line for crissakes.
