IE lots of rich people would have had their property value dropped by having the homeless shelter installed in their high end district.

They would have had a loss in property value, tourists would have been wary of going to that area.

All in all, simply preserving their cost of living.

Those wealthy liberals who have made San Francisco their home have only themselves to blame for the toilet that they've created in their city - literally! Already, San Fran is unique among American urban areas for requiring taxpayer-funded clean-up crews to go around picking-up the human excrement regularly left on the sidewalks of that city by the homeless people wandering their streets.

Liberals tend to destroy those cities they've been put in charge of by passing laws that only create new problems while solving nothing. Look at DETROIT and the ruin that they've made of so many once prosperous neighborhoods, now totally abandoned. There are sections of the Motor City today that actually resemble bombed-out portions of Japanese cities at the end of World War II.

And then there's the Chicago of Rahm Emanuel & Jussie Smollett, where the gun laws are SO STRICT that you'd think it should be the safest city on our planet, except that it's the MURDER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD instead! And now they're probably going to be sued by Jussie Smollett for "wrongful arrest" because the state attorney's office has sealed all of the records exposing his fake racist hate crime in February!
