Probably am. Don't know yet if I can be happy or sad dead.

I do know I haven't felt embarrassed since the last time we met. Actually, it was kind of fun, making a fool of myself, and all. Nothing like laughing at the egg on your face.

Yeah, guess I'm happy. Sleepy, but happy.

Most folks believe it's better than the alternative. How they know, though, is anyone's guess.

I mean, hell (no pun intended), they're not clamoring to come back to life, are they? Maybe it's cool and fun there, and they intentionally instill fear of death into the living to Bogart more of the afterlife fun for themselves.

i used to have a profound fear of death. i would have panic attacks about it. honestly have no idea why that was. the one thing that snapped me out of that fear was working in the medical field.
i held the hand of a woman who was dying. she wasn't really there, just fading...slowly fading. not a violent death like so many ive seen...this woman, i didn't have to work on...no cpr. she just silently slipped away. after she had been pronounced, i had to wrap her body, put tags on her and zip her up into a plastic bag. the hardest thing for me to do was to zip that bag over her face. seriously, i knew that she wasnt there but that little voice that says... "No! she wont be able to breathe" just wouldnt shut the hell up.
dont know why but after seeing her die, i wasnt afraid any more.
