Does anyone have a nickname? And how did you get it?

Lord DragonsWing's nickname is Monkey. Aptly named by my daughters.

It was he who inspired my M.I.K.E. story. That's how I came up with the idea for the monkey

Minsue would be the only nickname I can think of off the top of my head. My brother, who's high school nickname was Cherry, did point out once that I should have been the one called Cherry since the first thing everyone says when they see me is, "Hi, Min". Luckily, that never stuck.

My grandmother called me Little Cloud, because she said I was such a serious little child - carrying a cloud around with me.

Friends later on heard a family member call me that, shortened it to "Cloudy" and it managed to stick.

My other nick is gatorbait. I haven't used that in years. But it was my first because my Dad always told me if I fucked up I'd be gatorbait. That's from growing up in Louisiana and having gators in the backyard. lol

Most of my nicknames are name related, but I will personally kill anyone who calls me sarahbear or sahbear.

Otherwise, at my old work I was called Evil. I loved playing little pranks on my co-workers, like putting their computer on remote control and popping up little messages like the virus scan has detected a harmful virus etc. It doesn't help me from crying from laughter when one of the side effects of the program is to freeze the computer. [and they are shitting themselves trying to remember what the downloaded last!]

I'm too new at work for them to nickname me anything relevant! They nicknamed me Timmy [james bond theme] until they can think up something good.

I've told this story a few times, but I'll say it again. My full name is Katie Louise, and when I was born my brother wasn't even two. He couldn't say my full name, instead he called me "Tatelou". My parents latched onto it and also called me that. My Dad still calls me Tate now.

when i was a kid and the 'Rentals' divorced/remarried i was nicknamed "Poohtwo" cus the other kids were PoohBeah and so on..
Bitch was common when i was a kid.. along with Rachie/Rach/Ray.. (reall names rachelle)

but my fave is vella.. probably because i chose it. the character from the Gor series written by Snorin' John Norman was a cool/sexy/bitch.. even if the series sent me straight into a coma ...

My youngest couldn't say 'Samantha', so she called her big sister, 'Diddah'.

The name's stuck!!

I've called them both 'boobahs' since they were babies, probably will until they tell me not to When Samantha was a baby, she couldn't say 'baby', she said, boobah.

There's a creek here called 'Diddah Diddah Creek'... always cracks me up when I pass it. So, I have a boobah and a diddah LOL

I got mine from my little brother as well, Ceal was it from the time he could speak, then as I got older and was around little ones more often they would refer to me as Ceal, double 'S' sounds must be hard as a little one.

After meeting my then boyfriend , now husband, his buddy's girlfriend called me Cealy after the girl on "The Colour Purple". To this day I have yet to rent it to see who Im named after.

Now since I have an ethnic name, I get all kinds of concoctions of people trying to figure out how to say it, and yes I answer to most only so as to not embarass them. Nice aren't I?

Hi Lucky! I hated being gone so long, but my computer crashed and I was offline for about a month. Fortunately, my writing computer still worked. I couldn't get online, but I wrote my ass off for the month. The new girlfriend had nothing to do with my absence. I just had something fun to do while I couldn't get online.
