Apparently I'm just doing something wrong. I thought this was supposed to be an open minded place and don't get me wrong, I have made friends, but I've met just as many people that make me not want to read my messages.

Your profile says 21 years old and you have a girly sounding username. I can't imagine anyone sending you a nasty pm. That's really strange.

If you put someone ignore, their pm's are sent to a secret forum which only mods can see. Some of this stuff is hilarious, but the pics can get a little strange.

There are some good folks on the GB, and more than a few that can be (and often are) rude, but if you're looking for wide open arms, the General Board and the Personals are not your best bets.

Try the How To section, the Fetish and Sexuality board, the AmPic threads (if you want a ton of admirers fast, post some sexy pix of yourself) or the Playground.

I read your "Hello fellow" thread and I don't know you but from that thread alone I can see some of the issues you're having. Sometimes, people use the anonymity of the internet to say whatever they want to get attention. Like that one poster you responded to who seemed to be giving you a bit of trouble. If that were my thread, he'd either 1. be on ignore or 2. not on ignore but I'd not respond to him anyway. Just from what he said, he's not what you're looking for but you responding to him the way you did(which, trust me he DOES NOT care) is seen by everyone else who clicks your thread and you come off a little vulnerable and a bit needy. You don't owe that poster jack shit just from the fact that he's not what you're looking for but especially because of the way he talked to you. But more of his kind will read what you wrote and there will be this impression of you as lonely and needing to explain and defend yourself and you will continuously be put in that position.

You don't have to leave. You just have to realize, some of these posters are not actually people; they are huge, human sized todgers, bashing excitedly against a keyboard and spurting precum all over their swollen veiny selves just when you grace them with a response. And you have complete control over how you're perceived. If you had to respond to him, something better would have been, "Ew, you're rude" or "Snooze ya lose, pal!" Nobody can see you and nobody has any preconceived notions about you only based on what you decide to post and open up about. Have fun with that, use it, own it. Good luck.
