ok I am just complaining. It is minus 25 celsius and with the windshield it is -37 celsius (in farenhiet it is minus too many). Usually it is never this cold in December in Montreal. And we have to wait till April for a reprieve. It is going to be a long, long, long, long winter. And tomorrow it will be "warmer", only minus 10 and snowing!! ho ho ho!

It's like 50 degrees in South Florida now and people are FLIPPING OUT. It's all over the news like "Biggest Cold Front In Years! Be Prepared!"

Yeah, I'm in Ottawa, and it's definitely too cold for my taste.

50 degrees, huh? Remind me to cry for them! :p
(Effin' 11 degree night!)

I am originally from Calgary where I am used to -30 C, yes that is even cold for me.

It's the DAMN wind chill that makes it what, -50 C. Which totally, well ruins my day, as I am waiting for like 20 min. for the Goddamn TTC

Bah hum bug.

O

I remember when we first moved to Oregon (from Missouri, and before that it was Minnesota) they let everyone out of school early for this big blizzard that was coming. Me and my sis were used to blizzards, it was no big deal. So we watched and waited nd waited. Finally we asked mom when the blizzard was gonna happen. Her answer 'it is'. There was little cute snowflakes falling down, i think we got like a whole two inches. Miss and I were so discusted! Blizzard. The wusses.

I'm in central Florida and its 43 degrees this morning and I am freezing. Have the heat going full blast. Last night I had to go out and actually wear shoes and a coat.

Yeah, yeah I know you other people with your -minus numbers have more reason to complain but damn we have thinner blood here in Florida. :D

Actually today did not snow but we have -16 and it will go up to
-12! And as predicted we have rolling blackouts because Hydro Quebec cannot keep up with demand!

I'd invite you over to enjoy summer with us, but... we had hail storms the other day! It was like a big snow drift in the back yard. So not a great deal warmer.

Dear gods! How are you surviving?!!

:p

I wish it was in the 50's here....

Ho Ho Ho & nah nah ne nah nah ! balmy 30c here today, blue sky, light cool breezes off the beach.

I don't know how you can possibly live with snow, I just can't imagine the inconvenience of it all.

It is really beyond me why people would choose to live in an area where particles of ice fall from the sky.

Two nights ago the temp fell to 5F (no idea WHAT the wind chill factor was, and i didn't WANT to know). The pipes froze in the bathroom two days ago. The temp then soared to a good 35F the next afternoon. Due to the increase in temperature one of those pipes promptly BURST in celebration. No water here until they repair the pipe sometime today. i am sitting here waiting for a huge pan filled with bottled water to heat up on the stove top so i can use it to take a quick sponge bath (brrrrrr, am gonna HATE that  It's just TOO damn COLD here) as i need to get my little ass to work by 9am. The temp is currently at a balmy 18F. Whippity-doo! Frig, it's too fucking cold here. Did i mention how much i am dreading going out THERE & trudging through the snow that fell two days ago to warm up my car and scrape the ice off of it's windows in preparation for the 50 mile drive to work?!!? Brrrrrrrrr @!$#@#@$^^&&!!!!!#@!!!:(

P.S. my Dad's home in Cocoa Beach, FL is looking pretty good right about now. Imagining purty lil' palm trees decorated with tinsel & lights .... sipping a cold eggnog out on the deck by the pool .....

Its in the 20's at night here now and its way too cold for me!

Hubby though- he keeps looking at the sky and wishing for snow!

Knowing my luck- we'll get three feet of snow and I'll be one of the few poor shift working souls out driving in it to work.
*sighs*

cheap rent....blue state

I can't think of any other reasons.

Florida is one of the most politically split states in the country. The south is fiercely liberal and the north loyally conservative. Which is funny, because I thought more people lived in South Florida than North, but apparently Jeb and the boys don't see it that way when it comes to electing electors.

It's all going to hell anyway, even the Cubans are starting to vote Republican out of fear of being even more disenfranchised. Fucking Uncle Toms, they are like the French of Miami.
