My former landlord went into my apartment in February, before the lease was up, and he moved the remainder of my belongings to a corner of the apartment so that he could show it to a prospective tennant. As a result, two bags of my clothes were missing, and he was the only one who could have done anything with them. He denied taking them.
Well, I took him to court on Tuesday, and I got the judgement yesterday. The arbitrator ruled in my favor, but not for the amount that I had requested. Still, it gives me much satisfaction to know that my former landlord has to pay me for my clothes, especially since the asshole blatantly lied. He really made a total fool out of himself in court.
I'm in a good mood, and I'm drinking some Pinot Grigio right now. It's too rainy, and I'm too poor to actually drop money at a bar to celebrate.
