I'm bored with most of the stories I read here on Lit.
Of course, I'm just borwsing through, reading the thumbnail descriptions, but whenever I pick a story to read, it always disappoints.
Anyone here have some favorite stories they can recommend to me? More than the run of the mill?

Well, I could recommend mine, but, that would be self-serving.

To be perfectly honest, when it comes to stories that don't disappoint, I tend to check out other websites. There are some very good writers on here--bluedragonauthor, Daniellekitten, brightlyiburn--but they're few and far between. Look at the name of this site: "Literotica". One syllable devoted to storytelling and four to sex. That's about the proportion of submissions we get here too.

If you can't find something interesting (stimulating) on this site, you are either very hardcore, or having extremely bad luck.

As a suggestion, scan through new stories. If you find one you like, click on that authors name, and go through all their other stories. Also, usually down near the bottom of the story is a block that lists similar stories.

I will tell you that well over half of the stories on this site are not to my personal preference, but that still leaves half that are enjoyable.

After time, you will also learn to recognize most and least favorite names.

We need some more specifics Bebe. What qualities are you looking for? Naughtier sex? More developed characters and plots? Stories about men humping bagels?

There are some talented folks here, but because the site is big and free and open to all it means the readers have to to pry open a fair number of oysters before finding a pearl.

As CW suggests, you can use Lit's system by picking up on authors that you like, reading their other stories, using their bios to find their favorite authors and stories, etc.

There's the "top lists" and the "most favorite" lists too, if you believe in that kind of thing.
