Well, not technically all the way back ... we've been in Montreal since last Wednesday and we leave tomorrow morning to return home to Seattle. I didn't mention going since I expected to be online and keep up with stuff. However, I've been so busy with vacation and convention stuff that today is the first chance I've gotten to visit my usual haunts.
If there are any fellow fans of Disney's Gargoyles out there, by the way, I have some fantastic news! The con I've been at was the 8th annual Gathering of Gargoyles, a fan con devoted to the show. And this weekend, the show's creator Greg Weisman announced that devoted fandoms can and do pay off ... the first season of Gargoyles will be released on DVD on December 7th, 2004!!!!!
I'm so happy. This is only the first step toward doing what the Trek fans did and bringing back the show, but the first step is always the hardest.
The con was great fun, and Montreal is wonderful. It's going to be hard to leave tomorrow morning (and not just because our plane is at 8 in the morning). For those who are interested, I'll be posting a complete trip and con diary later this week.
I feel refreshed and more than ready to get back to writing, too, so I hope to get a new story or two posted before long!
