I'm an Aunt! (again)

No clue. I've never been out of the states, and even if they told me, I'd forget cause it would mean nothing to me. It'd be like me telling you that I live in the Willamette Valley.

And the lottery thing is a joke - I don't even buy tickets. Well - sometimes if I gotta wait for a bus or something I'll get those scratch-it's that take forever to do. But that almost never happens.
So it would be a real miracle for you to win the lottery! :) Maybe not quite such a great one as a new baby, but a nice one anyway. :)

I understand not knowing so much about German geography. And I very much prefer being told 'I don't know' than have people telling me their ancestors are from Germany, saying a name of a village of maybe 500 inhabitants and then expecting me to know it  While not knowing any bigger town that's close by. Or even basic direction like 'south Germany'.

Well, my ancestors are from Germany (I'm 3/4 German), but I have no clue what village or city or whatever. I'm sure my aunt (the families genealogist) would know.

And even if I did know, I wouldn't expect you to know. lol That's like people finding out live in the states and asking me if I know their cousin in chicago.

Yes, but don't you know that Germany is so tiny? Of course any German knows ALL the towns and villages, and most people living here...

By the way, do you know my host mom who lives in North Carolina? :p
