Been checking out different ideas, enjoying some of the beautiful illustrated poetry here. I think I'd like to put some stuff together... and I swear I saw somewhere around here, how to submit Illustrated Poetry, but I just can't seem to locate it now.

Any special tricks?

All artwork - including drawings, paintings, and photographs - must also comply with these rules:

- All persons in the image must be over 18 years of age.
- Image must not contain a URL or other advertisement.
- Image must be no more than 320 pixels wide, 240 pixels high, and under 40k in size. (Note: we will size the image to fit if we are able to do so. However, if we are unable to shrink the image, you will need to resubmit.)
- Photos must be your original work - i.e. photographs that you yourself took, or paintings or drawings that you yourself created.

If your image does not meet all of the above requirements, your submission will not be posted. In that case, please resubmit with images which meet our criteria.

You may submit an illustrated story/poem one of two ways:

1) Embed the images in a Microsoft Word document and upload it through the Story/poem Submission page in your author profile.
2) Submit the text of the story/poem through the Story/poem Submission page in your author profile, then email the image(s) to submit @ literotica.com - making sure the subject line of the email is the title of your submission. In the Story/poem Submission's Notes field, let us know that the artwork for the submission is coming via email. Be sure to make notes within the body of the story/poem showing us where you want each picture to be placed.

When I submit an illustrated poem, I do the submission at Lit like I would with any poem--give the title, classify as an illustrated poem, select my options for voting and comments, but then instead of trying to upload the poem (which never seems to work for me), I note that the actual poem is coming via email. I put a note about this, something like, "My poem XYZ is being submitted via email from xyz@myaddress.com" in the note section (not the space provided for the body of the poem), I then submit that and immediately afterword send an email with my illustrated poem in an attached file. I put the title of the poem in the subject line of the email and then in the body of the email say something like "Here is my illustrated poem XYZ, which I just submitted at Lit. The email goes to submit@literotica.com.

Then I wait. And wait. And wait. Illustrated poems used to be posted within a few days of submission, now it seems they only post them once or twice a month, so don't be surprised if weeks go by between the time you send your poem and actually see it in the new poems list.

And make sure you follow the submissions guidelines for illustrated work. They're listed here, in the submissions faq.

Good luck!

Similar thing?
Send mp3?
wait?

Basically yes. The submissions FAQ that Ange links to in her message tells you how to submit an audio poem as well.

got it, read it.
Thanks.

Wow, so many new possibilities out of nowhere.
After all this time.
