The year is 2999AD, and within a few days 3000AD begins. To this date, humankind has achieved technological knowhow to build interstellar ships that have colonised countless planets in star systems within the Milky Way Galaxy. No alien lifeforms have been found on any planet above alien plant life and bacteria life.
This lack of contact with any different lifeforms has resulted in humanity becoming complacent and believing that they are truly alone. Disease has been wiped out and human numbers have grown on each world that has been colonised - the human species had become like a parasite expanding from one world to another.
But this complacency and false thought process that humans are alone in the universe, is shattered on 21st July 3000AD by the discovery quiet suddenly and unexpectedly of a floating rectangular transluctant cylinder that with further studies reveals a sleeping alien. This cylinder is taken back to the Humanic League on Gaia, home of the ruling League of the human empire, where the alien is revived.
The alien in subsequent communications warns the human race that they face exinction at the hands of an unrelenting, uncaring species known as the Ilheum.
Soon after this warning is submitted to the humans, the mysterious alien is struck down with a illness and dies soon after. Now humanity must face an unsafe future.
10th September 3000, the interstellar battleship 'Icarius' goes missing. The last recorded message to the nearest tracking station ended with his blood curdling message;-
'Oh my Gods, they are coming, they are coming like a wave, unstoppable, powerful with technology......something is opening up in space.....like a tear...I can't believe (sic) We are beingggggggg drawwwwwwwnnnn intooooo ittttt.....' After that last message no further contact was made or reached and the ship by July 3001 was presumed missing.

The 'Icarius' has gone back in time, coming out near EARTH space circa 1938, with the world just beginning WWII.
There is no way in returning to their own timeline, but what the Icarius crew doesnt realise is an Ilheum ship has followed close behind - cloaked.
Now the destiny of the world, a world that is at war with each other, is in the hands of an alien power and futuristic humans.
What can and will happen? Will the war be allowed to be played out or will the pages of history be changed forever?
Looking for people who are interested to join, and or float ideas. This thread follows a premise of what if we had the power to change the past....would it help or hinder? And of course dealing with an alien enemy that is bent on conquest and no (in no circumstances) communication.
People can play an historical character, a make up from scratch character, one of the futuristic humans or more challenging one of the aliens.
Post here any interests, questions or ideas.
