Ignore a forum completely?

Is there some way to ignore an entire forum? For example, The Playground is absolute trash with no redeeming value whatsoever. Why can't I just ignore the whole forum? Or the Politics forum which is the same group of users hurling insults at each other ad nauseam. Instead I have to scroll through these POS threads which make up an annoyingly large part of Lit.

Why?

What is making you do that?

I never click into the Politics forum and none of what goes on in there ever crosses my radar. What are you doing that's making you see the threads and the posts in it?
If you click on the New Posts, it lists all the threads with new activity, 90% of which I don't care about.

You don’t need to click on New Posts at all. There are many forums I never look at. If you click on the forums you like, it is clear which have new posts and you can just navigate through those.

To answer your question, though, there is not a way to ignore a forum completely.

True but it means navigating to the five or six forums I am interested in one after another to see if there is any activity.

If you use the filters in "new posts" you can filter to "watched content".

The only things that should pop up in there are the forums and the threads you are watching. I get no politics or GB in mine.

The "What's new" posts everything new, and my only way around that has been to put the most prolific PB thread starters on iggy, so they don't show up in that area.
