I suggest the viki-helga-galina-others blog on tumblr. Tumblr is so messed up that I can't provide you with a direct link to the blog. The best way to look at it is to use Cascadr. Numerous times, I've used pics from there as inspirations for outfits in my stories.

Yep Tumblr is getting um, I dunno - repetitive maybe?

And I think photographers have pretty much all worked out by now that Google and so on just want content for free all the time or else they want to jack up to the top of every search engine whoever pays them or that they favor for no fucking objectively good reason.

The other thing I complain about a LOT these days is that everyone is damn playin' follow the stoopidest leader: WTF is with all the pathetic make-up and bizarre unnatural body shapes...

Bland faces lacking individuality, personality, character...

Jeezus Kryste!

They're beautiful, but they're too young, skinny, and Euro-looking for me. I'm older, and the models for my female characters tend to be the mid-40s fit mom types.

One of my story characters is based upon a particular erotic/nude model whose work I've enjoyed for a long time. I was tickled to find out she's a Literotica member, and she read and liked my story after I told her the character's looks were based upon her. That was enjoyable but kind of weird, too.

That does me no good, but I can see how it might help others. My characters don't usually look like those models, and they wouldn't be caught dead in most of those outfits -- or in that makeup.

If I need clothing ideas, I usually search for something that's generally what I want (e.g. "cap sleeved polka-dot sundress" or "white sheath dress") and look at what's for sale.

They're all beautifully fit and I love the tasteful amount of fetish in their outfits.

I'm less looking for inspiration for the story, and more at the things I can't afford to wear right at this moment. :)

I tend to browse some of the art nude sites (met art, hegre, etc.) when looking for inspiration for a particular female character.

If I am looking for a specific style of dress, most stores have plenty of images to get visual depictions of.

So I will find a picture of a model with the right body and then a picture of the clothing and mentally dress her.

Is that wrong?

My early stories were almost all modeled after a very clear image in my mind. VERY clear.

I modeled one story after a photo, but that was a commission.

I've used a very few real-life people as vague outlines for a character's look.

But lately? It's weird, but as I write more and more stories I find I do better without doing as much pre-visualization. I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, come to think of it.

I vary depending on the character. For some of them, appearance is part of the character. For others, not so much. Either way, I always have an appearance in mind, but I don't always use it. It's like constructing your character's backstory. You don't always use it.

All my stuff is based on real people, dudes! (And dudettes).

But I definitely look around for style ideas all the time. I also think photographic composition is super interesting and important.

They're okay, but you can do at least as well using pics from the GB Section here.

I'm just not looking for girls with 'Fuck Me' written on their ass. I prefer writing about average, modest people you see all around you, and whom you normally don't associate with sex at all.

I agree. I found those pictures to be an incredibly narrow definition of "sexy".

It's not about the models. It's about the clothes they are wearing. And it's about how those clothes would fit into a story.

For example, at that link there's a pic of a woman wearing a white one-piece swimsuit that has a big triangle of gossamer in the front that shows off a lot of boob. To me, the model looks incredibly sex in that outfit. I can see a story where there's a conservative mom whose daughter is going to go to a pool party. The day of the party, the mom demands that the daughter model what's she's going to wear at the party. The daughter comes out of her bedroom wearing that suit. The mom says she's not going to the pool party in that suit. The girl goes, "Mom! It's a one-piece! You told me I had to wear a one-piece!" The girl is upset in that she followed what she considers her mom's unreasonable standards for swimwear and now her mom is changing the rules. Much drama ensues, the mom gives in and the daughter blows everyone away at the pool party.

That assumes that you know the clothes you want the character to wear.

I haven't checked out too many pictures on the GB. My experience has been most of them are nudes. I searching for looks, not naked body parts. And I'm not fond having to click on a link to see one picture. I like clicking on one link and seeing hundreds of pictures.

I think that's an interesting story idea. How would I work into a story a girl having "Fuck me" written on their ass?

I prefer writing about average, modest people you see all around you, and whom you normally don't associate with sex at all.
Again, it's not about the girls. What does that average, modest person wear at home after they've taken a shower?

A lot of people seem angry that I'd offer a link to a site with lots of women wearing sexy outfits. I'm just trying to be helpful, sharing something that's helped me write stories.

I don't think anyone's angry thst you shared the link. I think a lot of us have different opinions as to what constitutes "sexy" either in the form of the person, or a "sexy" outfit someone is wearing.
Someone called most of those outfits tasteful fetish wear (or words to that effect), and imho, that's fairly accurate. A lot of those outfits were basically straps strategically placed to cover nudity. Which is fine, and very conventionally sexy. Nothing wrong with that.

But there's also nothing wrong with preferring something else.

And "what does a modest person wear after they've taken a shower?" How about a long t-shirt and some panties? How about a thin cotton nightdress? How about yoga pants and a sports bra? How about old ratty jeans that are nice and soft, with a flannel shirt? Any of those outfits could be sexy, depending on what your characters do next.

Ymmv, of course.

Pure coincidence, but I've just written a scene where Maddy is wearing a toasty warm tracksuit bottom and a knitted woollen jumper, it being winter here, and she's had a long, hot shower. Underneath it, she's naked, naturally, and they've just finished a pleasant meal.... Who needs Russian girls? ;)

Most of those clothes would look different on a real person.

That assumes that you know the clothes you want the character to wear.

At least within certain bounds. I use the pictures mostly to gel an image in my mind, but sometimes they make me change my mind about what the character wears, and then I'll look for something else.

Again, it's not about the girls. What does that average, modest person wear at home after they've taken a shower?

Around our house, showers usually happen before we go someplace. A lot of the time that's to work. We wear the clothes that are appropriate for where we're going. If I'm at the beach, for instance, it usually means that we get out of the shower and dress for lunch or dinner.

A lot of people seem angry that I'd offer a link to a site with lots of women wearing sexy outfits. I'm just trying to be helpful, sharing something that's helped me write stories.

I wasn't angry. I just find other approaches more useful for my characters.
