If your signature says more than your post...

If it really bothers you, just turn them off...it's pretty simple...it cuts down on clutter, besides who wants to read the same shit over and over?

Proceed with caution, SIN.

If we follow your train of thought, those with never ending sig lines will start writing never ending meaningless posts!

:D

A few more words there and you'll have earned the right to post or out-driveled your sigline (not to be taken personally, I haven't read it. The sig line. Well, okay, the post too...).

*chuckling*

A good thing I changed my sig line from the one word sig I had last week!

Geesh....I could be very quiet, stifled even!

Sweetie!

Your av indicates a certain degree of personality as well!

*smirks*

Ha!

Whatever happened to free speech? Now the privilege to post relies on how small or large the sig. is? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Suzi

Yeah..but the cool thing about free speech is that it flows *two* ways.

He isn't telling you how to post..he is just stating what bugs him, personally.

Free speech for all!

Meanwhile Sin, if it makes you feel better..I am one person - if you ever look at my posts- whom kills the sig if the body of my message is short...or if I'm bantering with Octagons.

I mostly do it for aesthetic purposes..

"I mostly do it for aesthetic purposes.."

Ah, purpose. It's always been said of me by educators and employers (spouses),

I lack purpose...

Somewhere along the line the freedom to have as large a sigline as you like crosses the freedom of a reader to have to wade through mounds of drivel to get from post to post.

There is the option to turn sig lines off, yes. But at what cost? One or two people feel the need to spread a sig line from here to eternity, clutter it with tons of graphics, and in general say absolutely nothing that's interesting more than once and, in doing so, ruin the cruising enjoyment of more than a few people.

"You can always turn them off!" is the battle cry. Of course we can turn them off. And then we miss out on the witticisms of the majority of posters who have interesting sig lines.

Does one person's right to post a novel as a sig line ever impede someone else's right to enjoy the boards?

Those who are inconsiderate always say no.

My sig lines have been off ever since it became an option. It's an uncluttered world I highly recommend trying out.

I found that for the most part, signature lines are for people with nothing interesting of their own to say.

LOL!

Whoops! I can't delete this, so I'll have to add enough chara
