...there's a good one on MSNBC today.
It's an account of the Arctic voyage of the Karluk in 1913, in which the vessel and its crew of 25 wound up trapped in pack ice for several months before being crushed to matchwood, leaving the crew stranded on the ice.
The story, linked below, stops part way through and asks what'd you would do.
It's an interesting tale of the sea, one I've heard and read about in greater detail many times before, as the captain of the Karluk, famous Newfoundland seas captain Bob Bartlett, was a friend of my paternal grandfather.

Bartlett's last and best known schooner, the Morrissey, is a US National Historic Landmark and is berthed in Bedford, Ma.
