One oppurtunity to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment - would you capture it or let it slip?

i'd knee it in the nuts, cut off its head with my sword, then fuck it in the stump and shoot my load down what was its throat.

i would rather not have it at all then grasp it for a few brief seconds before watching it all slip away. i can take it if i reject it willingly. i can't take failure on that scale.

This is deep shit, C.

It's too early in the morning, lol.

I need more coffee and then I'll give you an answer.

Grab the bull by the horns. You only live once and that aint a long time at that. Do what you can with what you have and if you find that all your desires could be fullfilled in one shining moment go for it. Look back on that moment with fondness and consider yourself lucky to even get the chance.

Interesting...

And yes it is early...or late depending on your view. :)

Be looking foward to your answer.

Need time to think about that. Haven't slept in I don't know how many hours. It'll probably slip by, while I DO sleep.

Very deep and interesting question!

I'd have to say I'd let that chance slip away.. If I work hard enough, one by one everything I ever want from life will fall into place eventually.

some of us aren't that lucky no matter how hard we work. Go for it while it's there. I want no regrets before I go.

But that's the thing.. if it's not meant to be, then it just isn't and I'll have no regrets that I worked hard to go for it even if I didn't get it.

In a way it's kind of like hockey.. I don't mind watching my favorite team lose as long as they worked hard and did everything they could to win. I'd like to think I live my life the same way.. I may not always get what I want and at times shit will happen, but it's not for a lack of wanting things to go right.

agreed, however, IF the situation presented itself for a moment of complete euphoria I would not pass it up.

I guess my answer would depend if I could 'get it all back' once I had it all for the fleeting moment. If not, then I'd rather take my chances and work to getting something that would stay with me forever instead of just a brief moment.

If it was re-obtainable, thenby all means I'd grab it.. just to see and get a taste of what I have to look forward to and increase my drive to get it.

But what if you're talking about like take this for an example...

You're working for a good company and you want a promotion to [insert title here]. It could have everything you ever wanted...money...fame...fortune...knowledge...who knows. And if that promotion was offered to you...would you seize it or let it slip?

Well in that case Cibo I'd take it.. Like the saying goes, when oppertunity knocks you better be there to answer.

hmm lemme think, enough money to pay off our debts, live comfy in our own little house, semi decent car, work from home job, so i wouldnt have to leave her, and xtra cash to just do whatever, and her totall happiness? um you bet your sweet ass i would grab it in a millisecond

Or you really really like this girl and had always wanted to ask her out. Then one day you have the perfect time and place to ask her out...would you seize it or let it slip?

Who knows, you might marry her and she may make a ton of money and both of you will leave happily ever after.

Or she might be completely wrong for you and you may regret you did it.

Another example.

Well I guess you'll never know if you don't give it a shot. You may not have the nutsac to doing anything about it and miss the love of your life. OR you could take a chance find happiness, or not. I regret nothing that I HAVE done only the things and opportunities I didn't cash in on. GO FOR IT! GO FOR IT! GO FOR IT!

But remember...it won't be as obvious as these. Might something so settle to grab what you always wanted...and then you freeze while you decide if you want to seize it or let it slip...

You always get another shot if you want it. Maybe not this exact situation, but one enough like it so that it hardly makes a difference. I prefer to not believe in determinism.

Take the shot. The risk is in missing your chance.

If you have the opportunity GO FOR IT. Why the hell not! It's
better than kicking yourself later for not doing it.

Not always my friend...some things are one time shots.

True, but I can only answer the questions set before me. IF I was aware of the opportunity at hand I would not hesitate to take it. If it was something so suttle that I really did not know what it was then I suppose it would pass on its own with no active decision made on my part.
