If you have an alter ego here, I have a question for you.

How can I easily log out to sign back in as the other name? Sometimes, it works like a charm--other times it just keeps saying "Welcome back, ------" over and over and over. When I go to the stories index and try to sign in there, it simply refreshes the log in screen and does nothing that appears useful. It is time wasting. (as if that is not all I do here anyway, right ;) ? )

Any wisdom tio share from all you great and wonderful experienced Lit members?

Go into your control panel and under the 'edit options' tab. Check no for "auto logon". That'll get rid of the cookies, tho if you are inactive for too long a time, you will have to relog n to post.

Sweet Cherry,

Thank you--but it did not work--I already had it checked.
I tried unchecking the cookies option.
We will see. I probably won't be using this alter ego much anymore anyway. It seems to have provided its usefulness and computer entertainment diversion as much as it is gonna.

If anyone else has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I would kinda like to go back to being the usual me now.

(Will fumble around and then prolly give up and go to bed. Yawn!)

I have loggon on many times,
Andra_Jenny,
Markov_Cain,
Algore,
J_Carville,
and many other delightful characters,
and never had a problem...
even when trilling my good friends
ClosetDesire and DixonCarterLee,
They are such good sports
And my Marine Corps buddies!
Siemper Fidelis and all that...

you have to erase all your cookies and close all browser windows .

Thanks--I did that this am. Sometimes this works for me and sometimes it doesn't. Not sure what it is---oh well.
Thanks for the helpful suggestions.

The one who is not really so old.

Are you a regular poster here under a different name?

I'm curious, what was it you thought you could say as ReallyOldLady that you weren't comfortable saying as yourself (or at least your usual self?) Or is that not even close as to the reason you have more than one name here?

I haven't ever been able to figure out the reasoning behind having multiple nicknames here. It seems so much easier just to be one person all the time. Less confusing, too.

Of course, I do understand those who have the joke personalities (Puddles the Wonder Poodle, Gnufi, etc.) but those are usually clear that they are a regular posing as someone else.

At the bottom of the screen at the Literotica Discussion Board there is a logout button. Click that, and it should take you to a screen that says all cookies have been cleared. It should have a link to go to the forum's. Go back down to the bottom of the Lit Disc Board, and type in user name and password. That should work.

If you are still having problems, try another browser. I get troubles once in a while with IE, and have to switch to netscape (I hate netscape, but will do anything for my lit 'fix').

Hope that helps.

From the old lady:
Yes.

From the old lady:
Go to the "advice without flames" thread and the "would you help someone" threads. You can see my responses there. You can also do a search on my title and see what I have been doing under this title.

I am not the type of person who does things for others and announces it or lets it show, if I can help it. This title lets me maintain my anonymity.
