If you had to choose what natural disaster to be in what one would it be?

Just switch it around. Tornadoes scare the fuck out of me. The only thing worse than that is flooding. I'm terrified of drowning. Can't swim, you know.

I prefer somthing to take me over the Rainbow... and April I can teach you to swim if you want..... I'm a very good teacher... I will hold you firmly for support and if you want.. skinny dipping is an option...:D

Do blizzards count??

I'd like to be stuck in a cabin w/ a fire roaring, unable to escape... with a certain sexy guy.. ;)

that's a yummy thought.

Sorry, I have too much going on in RL to think in terms of disaster.

Any one, that I could.....

Surf into oblivion.

Tidal wave - massive river flood - fire-storm - huge volcanic explosion..... things like that.

Cowabunga!

Having been through Hurricane Andrew, I can tell you honestly my choice is that I have caught my limit...met my quota and hope to NEVER go through any type of disaster ever again.

But, if I had to choose, I would take another hurricane because you know DAYS in advance, you can prepare and you can get the hell out of Dodge if the sucker's strong enough. And trust me...next time I WILL get the hell out of Dodge.

For what it's worth, the "disaster" part of it was terrifying but at least it was over in a few hours. The months that followed dealing with martial law, insurance companies, storm chasers, rebuilding, lack of electricity, water, and supplies....THAT was a whore.

Just MHO

MP ;)

I don't mind earthquakes too much. They make life a little more exciting, true, and there is no place to hide, but I keep thinking so far, so good, and just about everyplace has earthquakes. Also, the lighter ones can be kind of fun. Rock and roll!

The idea of a tornado just terrifies the living hell out of me. I must have been way too young when I first saw The Wizard of Oz.

Madame...that pic is outrageous....I love it.

:p

I'm a fourth generation Californian, and I must have been through at least 10 earthquakes, not counting aftershocks. Nothing has ever happened to me or my family, even after the Northridge 8 point something. So I would pick earthquake, cause I'm scared of heavy rain and snow and wind and stuff.

rofl

It is a generalized slaying, dearest -- I'm an opportunistic and indiscriminant bitch, don’t ya know? ;)

I might get tired of it in a spell, but in the meantime I think it suits me.

So many targets…so few shells for the bazooka…

MP ;)

MP you rule in my book.....

:p

Well I'm not keen on the idea of being chased by an F5 tornado.
Nor do I care for being buried in an avalance.

So I guess you can sign me up for the earthquake people.

Xander is signed up....

:p

"KILLER" icon, there, MP. I wanna get me one of those nasty ass pix! Now, THERE's some originality!

As for disasters, I live in earthquake country, and because of the strict building codes, I think that we're fairly safe. I've lived through several big quakes and no one I know has ever been injured. Property damage, yes, but personal injury, no.

I choose earthquakes. They're over pretty quick, even if they always come as a surprise.

Pussy Stampede

Not a disaster, but what a way to go!

A hurricane, please

So, we seem to be comfortable with what we know.

Let's see now, Betsy, Camille, Edith, Andrew--I know I'm forgetting a few, but yeah, I'll take a hurricane. If I were at Pat O'Brien's, I'd have had several hurricanes by now.

Hurricanes in New Orleans--nothing like 'em. You do know, don't you, that all it's going to take is one good one entering Lake Ponchartrain, right to the mouth of the Mississippi, and it'll be Lake New Orleans? We've missed it by the skin of our teeth, many times...like the nine lives of a cat...
