Thank you! I was starting to think that other people's lives were so much more interesting than mine that I was the only one who needed a vacation to spice things up...

Vermont... it is supposed to be really beautiful there... and it is one of the 6 states I have left to visit... Nice thought. :)

it depends on what you want todo

For instance, if you like sailing, there'd better be water and if you want to ski, then somewhere with snow is a good idea. What do you like to do to have fun?

Climate's another thing. I used to think the Canaries were perfect - only a few degrees difference between mid-winter and mid-summer, never too hot, never too cold - but last time I went, it rained almost every day.

I'd like to suggest you came to stay on my sailing cruiser, but since that's an open topped canoe with a jury-rig mast, that probably wouldn't work.

do you have to take it all at one time...if so and you have a good vehicle...just pack some clothes etc and go where the wind takes you or you could cross the pond if that is doable and go where the wind takes you... either way explore

Lol... I don't personally know how to sail a boat. Though that sounds fun. So I'd need someone with a hook-up... Who is also tolerable in a confined area for days at a time...

I don't HAVE to... no... But for my own mental health, I would like to. I've been working an average of 70 hours a week all year long... it is time for me to take a break. A real break... And that actually sounds like a good plan... Though a bit lonely at the same time.

Well, on my own I'd love to go to Egypt and Israel but as Ihave a family in tow I think we'd decide to go to America -spend some time at Disneyworld and then go off and meet lots of you lit folks and see the sights :p

Vermont is gorgeous but then I'm biased with friends who live there so I'd gladly drop the other places to hang out there. Plus I'm a maple syrup freak so its a great place to be;)

I would Love to go to Egypt and Isreal. But I refuse to go alone. That's an experience I want to share with someone. *nods* As for Disney... I'm just a hop-skip-and-a-jump away...

Vegas is a good place for a vacation. Lots of things to do and see. That's where I went for mine and I don't regret it. :D

It is fun there. But I've lived there before... I want to go somewhere... new...

France. The French know how to relax, the food and wine is excellent. Accommodation is relatively cheap, it is the place I go to unwind.

In that case, here's a serious suggestion (if you can swim): find a friendly sailing club, buy a cheap dinghy - something like an old Mirror - and learn. Other members/visitors will provide new friends and a social side - and when you are on your own, there will be no-one to laugh when you get something wrong and fall in. Dinghy sailors are a cheerful crowd that don't take themselves too seriously and sailing itself is a real blast.

I've tried to attach a picture, but if that doesn't work, go to http://www.ukmirrorsailing.com/gallery/exe challenge 1999/ec1/index.htm

Been there... And had to go to the hospital while I was there. I'd go back again... but with someone who can speak the language.

Where will you take me sight-seeing?
My city's kind of...not one of the most exciting ones. Though it has it's share of nice places. :)

Seriously, India is really good at this time of the year.
