couple weeks in vermont, a week in florida or california and a week in canada

Climate's another thing. I used to think the Canaries were perfect - only a few degrees difference between mid-winter and mid-summer, never too hot, never too cold - but last time I went, it rained almost every day.
I'd like to suggest you came to stay on my sailing cruiser, but since that's an open topped canoe with a jury-rig mast, that probably wouldn't work.
For instance, if you like sailing, there'd better be water and if you want to ski, then somewhere with snow is a good idea. What do you like to do to have fun?

Lol... I don't personally know how to sail a boat. Though that sounds fun. So I'd need someone with a hook-up... I don't HAVE to... no... But for my own mental health, I would like to. I've been working an average of 70 hours a week all year long... it is time for me to take a break. A real break... And that actually sounds like a good plan... Though a bit lonely at the same time.feeeriek said:

Well, on my own I'd love to go to Egypt and Israel but as Ihave a family in tow I think we'd decide to go to America -spend some time at Disneyworld and then go off and meet lots of you lit folks and see the sights

Vermont is gorgeous but then I'm biased with friends who live there so I'd gladly drop the other places to hang out there. Vegas is a good place for a vacation. Lots of things to do and see. That's where I went for mine and I don't regret it.

In that case, here's a serious suggestion (if you can swim): find a friendly sailing club, buy a cheap dinghy - something like an old Mirror - and learn. Other members/visitors will provide new friends and a social side - and when you are on your own, there will be no-one to laugh when you get something wrong and fall in. Dinghy sailors are a cheerful crowd that don't take themselves too seriously and sailing itself is a real blast.inlovewithyourghost said:
