If you Edit your threads really quickly...

I don't know the exact time that you are allowed to edit without it showing, all I know is that its under 3 minutes.

I think it is within the minute... it probably has a problem with having the "edit" timestamp, the same as the original creation timestamp.

I have the inside scoop... by default, it is 5 minutes. Ask Laurel what this board is set to.

hehehe.. Inside scoop

So Guru, What is your default time ;)

Yeah, but the thread TITLE is indelible.

Damn that's been embarassing for me in the past.

The default for vBulletin 2.2.6 is 2 minutes for Members and for Mods, Super Mods, and Admins an "Edited by:" doesn't showup. I'm pretty sure that's what the default is for all the other versions.

I hate thread editing...I just leave whatever mistakes I made alone....the Rosetta Stone was broken...we figured that out...give a puzzle to the reader I say...

This is version 2.2.5. The default mentioned above is for version 2.2.6. :p

Nope, I've fixed the title, too. But it HAS to be done immediately after starting the thread. It can't be changed later.

I believe another rule besides time is whether someone has viewed your post or not. If someone has already seen your post, then regardless of the time it is going to show the edited message.

;)

I think as long as you don't move away from the post, you can change it without the annoying "last edited . . . . " but I could be wrong.
