One bedroom in California, one in Alaska, one in Florida............!
sunstruck said:I'd by the largest old house I could find to restore it, then make it a half way house for troubled teens. Giving them something of beauty to care for, someplace they can be proud to call theirs.

A place they to which they can invite their friends so they can smoke pot, drink beer, and have all the drunken high sex they want.
sunstruck said:What is wrong with you two??? Beefcake you are a dad! You should know better.

Yup, I do. I know that troubled teens aren't troubled because they don't have any nice things.
They're troubled (BIG generalization here) because they lacked proper guidance and discipline, and with those things comes work ethic and responsibility.
sunstruck said:RH I've been working with teen groups since I WAS a teen. It has nothing to do with having nice things. It has to do with being responsible for things you care about.
The building we use as our Center was falling apart when we found it. The kids came every day and woked on it themselves. They rebuilt, painted, landscaped. It gave them a sense of pride and accomplishment which is something they weren't used to.
That TAUGHT them work eithics and responsibility.

Ahhhh... I misinterpreted your post. I thought you meant that YOU would restore it and then hand it over to them to maintain it once it was all fixed up.
My apologies, love.
