...any fictional character as a bf/gf, who would it be?

This is a spin-off from the Buffy thread, where Svenska, Recidi and I have been discussing Tara. If I was to have any fictional character as my girlfriend, then it would be Tara. Yes, I know she's gay, but she's so sweet and tender and, despite the imprecations of certain Swedish blondes, had a beauty that shone through her character.

A close second place would be Toda Mariko from the book Shogun. I've just finished that book for what must be close to the 70th time and I still don't want her to go to Osaka. I'd spend time learning bushido and hara-gei and cha-no-yu to understand her better.

How about you guys?

Susan Ivanova, from Bablylon 5.

I just love strong women. I know they stick around because they like me, not because they're dependent on me.

Delenn would be nice too.

My all-time hero is Darcy out of Pride and Prejudice. The sultry, disparaging looks, the whiff of masculine pheromones and the animalistic, lust, love and honesty.

I admit that part of the attraction is seeing myself as a neo-Lizzy Bennett.

Way to go girl. :nana:

I would have to go with Mike from Stranger in a Strange Land. I Grok Michael Valentine Smith.

Lara Croft

Batman (Val Kilmer version)

Han Solo

Legolas

... to name a few. :D

One! Just one!

I can't do it...

How could I possibly choose between Wilma Darling and Princess Ardala? And that's ONE show!

How about the classic question? Maryanne or Ginger?

And how dare you... how absolutely DARE you make me have to leave Jeannie out of my harem!

*cough*cough*

Choose between the Charmed sisters?

Choose between Early Buffy and Early Charisma Carpenter?

The only choice I feel comfortable making is the blonde among all the Law & Order prosecuters (But don't ask if I'm talking straight Law & Order blonde or Law & Order Special Victims blonde).

Sincerely,
elSol

Himura Kenshin – He was sweet and goofy but he never quite managed to bury the Hitokiri Battousai deep enough in his soul.

Ranger – I would love, love, love to have the keys to the Bat Cave.

Sawyer from "Lost" – He's just misunderstood. I could save him. :D

There are many others, I'm sure.

Was it odd that I read this as 'Buffy in the style of The Earl' for a good few minutes before I realised what you were actually saying?

*LAUGH*

It's going to be a good day!

The only choice I feel comfortable in making is that I would SOOOO NAIL the redhead wife on Gray's Anatomy.

I'm looking at her like... "PASSSHUH! Gray has a shot! Fuck that bullshit!"

Sincerely,
ElSol

hmmm... oh wait... I'm a geek!

Seven of Nine wins... Fatality... Now try to figure out how to get her out of the uniform!

Sincerely,
elSol

This morning?
It would be Barbara Novak, Renee Zellweger's character from "Down With Love"
Just like Catcher Block, I'd start at the bottom... and work my way up....

Thanks, Debbie. Now have some imaginative figgy mints and go back to your closet.

Snape, I don't care if he uses me and abuses me, whoa baby.

Err... gods. He's probably the only fictional character I'd get with :)

Hands down, it'd have to be Jamie Fraser from Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series.

ROWR! :catroar:

He's a great choice too. If I didn't have Michael it would be him.

Aladdin - Since I first saw that disney movie I've fancied a bit of Fez action ;)

Tarantio from Dark Moon by David Gemmell -Yeah he's got some kind of demon or something, but he is HOT!

Robbie Hart from the Wedding Singer -awwwwww.

I'll have to think on this more....

the first one to come to mind was Friday, from the Robert Heinlein book of the same name...must have been the reference to Stranger that did it..

Curt Wilde/Brian Slade sandwich. Velvet Goldmine, baby.

I would even be happy watching that one.
