Lets eliminate what it isn't that causes us to do things that we do. to figure out what the trigger is and eliminate it.

i.e. - If its not the music that triggers the violence circa 1988-1990 in the african american teens then what happened in those three years that triggered it and violence. There is something that happened, the music was before, the living conditions were before, the life style was before, the drugs were before this time period, something has happened though what is the trigger at that point that has escalated the violence and sent acedemics{sp}into a tail spin downward.

Who was Presidnet, Who was prominant in the world seen, What happened Astronomically? there is a trigger.

We have a collective brain of a few thousand minds here, lets put them to work, find the trigger, and then once we find it write letters to our local govements and see if we can fix the problem.

WE can do this people, I know we can, I have faith in human kind. We just have to out our minds to it.

I'm sure there are a lot of answers to your question.

I say drugs is the number one thing. Drugs provide easy money and alot of these 'economically challenged' (that's my politically correct phrase for the year) teens see this as their only way to make fast money to help out the family. Along with that, violence followed the drugs into the neighborhoods. There are some people who like the gang-banger lifestyle but I'd be willing to bet that just as many, if not more, would leave it in a heartbeat if they knew their families wouldn't suffer without that money.

I agree with you that drugs play a major role, but drugs were dominant before 1988-1990. What I am trying to figure out is wht the trigger mechanism was that flared up the drug, lifestyle musci symptoms that lead to the present.
