If I had a time machine, what would it take to prevent the Information Age?

Would it be enough to shoot Alan Turing, or would one have to go all the way back to Samuel Morse?

Oh, c'mon, you all feel the same way every time you struggle with a password!

(Any paradoxes caused by a time machine needing computers to work are outside the scope of discussion.)

Shooting Alan Turing might be sufficient, but the cost is considerable considering his work cracking the enigma code.

Stopping transistors from being invented is probably a better route. Without them, computers are huge expensive monstrosities only used by professionals.
