Chie Uchida: singer, actress, model. The pop icon in an endless market. At the age of twenty, it seems the whole world is looking for her next move. Will her next album flop? Is she ready to play lead roles? Can she keep up with the younger competition?
With her next album coming out, slightly edgier than ones past, she's crammed on sets filming music videos and giving interviews to ensure she stays on top. Stacks of scripts are scattered around her suite, leaving her to pick through the trash. And try as she might, the foreign markets are more interested in her face than her voice.
Not to mention she's fed up with her actor-turned-model boyfriend who's much more interested in arm candy than her schedule. To make matters worse she just might be falling for her best friend and the press can't get enough of the two ladies together. Then there's fights with her agent, who wants her to focus on one part of her career over the others, and the parents that she rarely sees.
All in all...it's just another case of idol mania.

Chie yawned and stretched her arms over her head, examining her tired form in the reflective glass across the table. Her hair had been cropped short, a messy bob just below her ears, and styled with annoyingly long bangs and the short layers tousled just so. The honey blonde they'd been using for her 'summer color' had been replaced with a fuschia pink for her shoot and she really couldn't say she minded -- it looked good with her light brown eyes and pale skin.
The pulsing music blocked out much of the external sound and the flashing lights made her clothes look much nicer than they actually were. In an attempt to get her out of her trailer, her best friend had pulled her down to the nearest club. Wearing only a lacey black top and a frayed denim miniskirt, Chie was thankful that her tall black boots took up most of her lower leg. Hunched over her drink, her petite figure seemed much smaller, even if it didn't take any attention away from her round breasts.
Watching the dancers with unfocused eyes, she tried to ignore a group of giggling girls in the corner. Fans, no doubt. And with everyone rushed off to get drinks, slip off into the bathroom, or smoke, she would be left to deal with them alone. Ignoring her ringing phone, she took a long drink and sighed. If the cameras outside were any indication, it was going to be a long night.
