Ideas for Story Selection

I dont know if you guys have noticed it or not, but many stories are not read because they are currently organised alphabetically. Usually, the first few pages have the most viewed stories and it kinda trails off afterwords...

Maybe in the new site the pages could be a bit longer. I dunno why, but having 64 or so pages of stories gets a bit intimidating Like on Literotica, the pages with stories on them are decently long make me feel a little less clausterphobic

Also, i have found that i like the catagories alot. Maybe within each catagory there could be sub-catagories? Like within an erotic coupling, what kind of erotic coupling? Is it two teenagers getting down for the first time or is it five sweaty weight-lifting ladies playing a hardy game of Strip Monopoly? Maybe a system of different organisations within each catagory would be nice, or to single out a certain type of story.

I think it would help people find thier forte within the massive amount of stories contained within Chyoo.

I created a story a while back and I expect the story to have many different branches and I wanted to select "anything goes" or "all categories" or "non-specific" instead of narrowing it down to Erotic Couplings. But the other groups didn't seem to fit, so it is EC.

You know it would be kinda cool to break it down into sub-genres, especially as we are starting to reach a point in CHYOO where the total number of stories is getting too expansive to find specific themes easily.

Having said that, if you want to find a specific theme, like 'weight-lifters playing strip monopoly', you could always type it into the search box.

Alternatively, these could be subgenres. At least, Non-English should be.

Right now, i dont know how the one option on the list as of right now works. The "Sort By Rating" option seems a little strange to me. Some obscure sotires, with very few votes and rating, sometimes get at the top of the list. While some other stories, with many more votes and either the same or a higher rating sometimes dont get high up there...

The ratings system has always been a problem, ever since they switched to Chyoo 2... a couple years ago. Instead of fixing the problems I guess they just started writing a whole new program (Chyoo 3) with a bunch of new problems. lol.

A complete choose-your-own adventure story like these is hard to come by. I have seen storylines that end, but not the whole thing. Once you get 6 levels deep, if you fill all four choices, you have 4096 possible storylines. Try ending them all.

On the impregnation fantasies, try Pervy for Preggos. I've written a storyline where the main character has fantasies about impregnating his buddies girlfriend, so she'll fit his pregnancy fetish. See if that one matches what you're looking for.

Maybe stories should be sorted by total threads in the story. That way readers can see the most complete stories first. While those stories that only have one thread and are never added to will be at the end of the list.

It could work, but some stories have only a handful of long threads and are complete, while others can have upwards of 84 threads and never even near completion...

It could be a new way to sort it though. Like "Most Threaded Story" option to sort all stories or subcategories in

I think we'd benefit from a search option like the one on Literotica, where you could search not just for words in a title, but for things a story's about/it involves.

Yep. But how would a search system be introduced to search for subject instead of title? Look for keywords in the story? Have the author write down keywords for a search? Maybe put those story description markers in the description?

But of course that keeps changing. An editor could start a story about erotic coupling, another writer down the road adds in some bdsm or a impregnation fetish. If I did one for my first story cause and effect. It would be incest, harem, lactation, pregnet, twins, voyeur, and erotic massage and is no where near complete.
