Ideas for new RP

Friends and Rp'ers, to those of you that have played with me before you know what a stickler I am for a good story filled with lots of action, excitement and just a little humor tossed in for good measure. I know to those of you that have been apart of threads I have run in the past either I or lack of interest has led those threads to death. Well that is about to change I have time opening up soon and I need to fill my creative void with a story line mostly of my own creation. However I would like ideas for a plot line, there shall be no limit of players but lets keep it to about 4-6 main characters, with side characters having no limit to those that perfer to be a little less involved. Think in the relm of either sci-fi or fantasy or mix the two, that is always fun. If I may ask that ideas be a little more original and creative than the standard story of my kingdom is being attacked. Though there is nothing wrong with that if you have takend the time to add in something completely different to the mix.

Naturally since this is my thread I will choose the plot line that is used, setting and such is left up to me. Feel free to use names in the plot line ideas just remember that those names will not be used in the story, sometimes it is diffucult to write out a plot line with out names of characters and having to refer to them by such phrases as character 1. I know this is probably too much information and knowing how all of us play probably unnessacary, but I like details. Just remember this is a thread for ideas for a plot line for a new Rp and only post such replys please.

If no one reply's of course I will just come up with a plot and start a thread anyway, I am just being lazy.

It has been some time since I have been involved in a RP, and perhaps I am a little rusty, but I am confidant however that with a little oil, the wheels will begin turning again. If you would prefer however that I not join you in your new tale of adventure, I would not be offended.

As to a plot, is there much which hasn't been touched on in some way, shape or form before?. Perhaps think towards the eliments. The turn of the tide, the setting of the sun, the birth and death of time it's self.

Vampires, Gods, knights and Ladies, mythical creatures and other worldly beings, so many have been used before as the makings of a good tale, and yet, they too inspire us.

So where to look for an exciting, original, and binding plot?

What would you all think of a thread based off of the Matrix? Seeing as the lot of us probably don't have the money to be a part of the official online game... Maybe create a story setting for it here on lit?

I like the idea... Could be very cool, but what would the story in it be? I don't know too much about the story in the online game but do you want it to be something like that?

Eh, the Matrix ended badly for me. Though it was cool to look at it when you start looking through the pretty pictures and wonder about the tactics of the combatants it becomes less of a good story. Its actually pretty stupid when you think about it. I am not saying that the movie was bad but as a story on Lit, I think it would fall very short, seeing as how I do not have a great love for the film. So far it seems peple are wanting a spy thread, hm difficult but not impossible. Perhaps it is doable.

Well the online game was set up to give the newly freed humans a choice between the 'preachings' of the humans of Zion, the core programs, and the Merovengian.

Neo is gone for the moment, until he is reborn. So there are no god like characters, not really.

Whats do you think of that?

I was not talking about the god like Character of Neo, I was speaking more on the fact that the humans of Zion should have been able to destroy the robots without much trouble. If you have EMP technology as they did it would be possible to build a smaller device that a team could take with them and since their EMP's do not burn out and can be used multiple times with only a charge it would be possible to send teams of EMPs out into the surrounding areas until they reached the robot city. Seems to me that those that were left free were possibly the slow stupid ones that could not figure this out. Perhaps that was the robots doing. If you had EMP technology you had no reason to fear any robot. Plus since it is a pluse type weapon it would be possible with the right application of technology and energy to build a constant EMP and contained EMP around Zion. This again leads me to belive that those that were freed by Neo and the like were stupid regular folk and not brilliant scientists or military experts. The story of Matrix in thoughly implausible because it would make sense that Emp technology would have had to have been invented before the thing ever started and it was a waste of time and effort to "schorch the sky" when someone had to have said hey why not drop an emp bomb on their city? Dissables all electrics right, so poof problem solved. I find it very hard to belive the the EMP technology was created after the whole war and stuff.

So that is why the Matrix idea to me would be rather dull and stupid, In our world with EMP Tech we would have destroyed the robots or made slaves of them once again. Simple as that. Don't give me that its a movie and set in a fictious world, the movie claims it is in the future of our world so therefore it is privy to our laws and ways that we as Humans act.

It all sounds good, but I find a lot of ideas put forward for new threads a little too complex and my poor wittle brain can't cope. Keep it simple and i'll try to keep up.

Maybe a futuristic space drama type story line with spies in it?

That way we've got the spies requested.
Raven gets robots or AI systems or whatever.
But its an open arena plot setting.

However it shapes up, I'd like to join in too.
