An IRS contractor named Braulio Castillo hurt his foot playing football in military prep school. He never served in the actual military. Then one day, decades later, he used it to get preferred treatment in government contracts.
Rep. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.), who lost both her legs and still could lose her arm from combat injuries, felt that this might just be a touch inappropriate. It gets amazing around 4:30.

While I have a few issues with some of the Congresswoman's views, I'm bang along side this one. Sic 'em, Ducky!

I have a scar from playin army with my friends when I was little. Should I get benefits too? I at least had a pellet gun in my hand when I was wounded. IRS scum never cease to amaze me.

The audacity of the prick. Ms. Duckworth was absolutely right about the backlog on VA assistance, and lazy opportunists like Castillo are part of an ever-growing problem.

I absolutely loved her patronizing delivery, comparing her wounds to his. She was making him squirm, and she loved every damn moment of it. Maybe a little petty on her part, but I don't think I would be able to resist doing the same if I had been in her position.

Castillo and his asshole buddy in the IRS Roseman both need to be jailed for robbery. Whoever in the VA that approved Castillo's 30% disability needs to be jailed too. The IRS dude and whoever in the VA also need to be fired, but hey, it's the government, so forget that. :(

You and I both know there's so much bureaucratic BS going on in the DoD and VA that things like this slip through all the time. It's a sad commentary, but that's bureaucracy for ya.

Roger that. Our wounded, maimed and homeless vets get short sheeted and this pimple on a donkey's butt gets fat.

She laid him out pretty flat, didn't she? :D

She did, indeed. Too bad he's too much of a schill and a selfish bastard that he probably won't stop taking advantage of his "disability." I imagine he'll just brush this whole escapade under the rug and pray that his lawyers will keep getting him preferential treatment because, you know, it's the American Way to take every advantage you can . . . .

Hey, I lost 10% of my hearing in my right ear* when I was in the service, I think I should be compensated for that, don't y'all?

I mean, at least I was in the service of my country when I was...injured...unlike this fool.

*Happens when you fire an M60 without ear protection, but it was an emergency situation. I was in the real military, not the play military.

After watching that, I think maybe I have a lil crush on Ms. Duckworth.

Oh, I think that, thanks to the Internet, his goose is cooked. All of his family and all of his friends and all of his business associates and all of his children's friends will have seen the video and she left absolutely no doubt about him being a scumbag. I doesn't really matter if he continues to get preferential treatment or not. No one can overcome being that vilified in a U-tube video having gone viral.
