You are NOT alone... do you remember the one with the little boy on the track .. and they show him running on it and then they show an older boy running and then a teenage and then a grown man finishing first in the olympics? That always made me cry! (Please tell me YOU remember!)

Few commercials bring me to tears (with the exception of when I was pregnant but that doesn't count dammit!) but other than that McDonald's one.. there was one more..


IT was a dog food commercial I think from last year and it starts with this little girl on the top of the stairs calling out her dog's name and this little baby puppy starts fumbling up them to eat... and then it flashed to a school aged girl who calls to him at the top of the stairs and a young adult, frisky dog scampers up the stairs towards her... and then it ends with a teenage girl who calls to her dog from the top of the stairs to an elderly dog and the dog slowly moves up the stairs ....

And then it talks about how their dog food is for all stages of life (but I am already crying buckets by then...)

Ya'll remember the olympus commercial? "O..is for..." I cried everytime I saw it. Never bought an olympus camera, but I liked the commercial.

If my mother read this BB, she would kick my ass for what I am about to tell y'all. She still tells me I MORTIFIED her doing this, and it seemed only appropriate to tell you guys here.

I think I was 4 or 5...somewhere in that age range. We were in church and it was my Sunday to get up in front of the whole church and sing my song. (we could sing anything we wanted to) Usually it was "Jesus Loves Me". My mom and I had been practicing for WEEKS with Jesus Loves Me and I had it down pat. For some reason, I remember thinking that this "show" should be prefaced by a few commercials.

I stepped up to the microphone and in my LOUDEST kid voice, launched into the brand-new Miller Lite (beer) commerical

"SLAP your hand around a Miller Lite Can"

I finished to the shocked looks of not only my family but the whole church..and then a little giggling here and there.

Immediately after the commercial I sang Jesus Loves Me in my most angelic voice.

OH BOY...my mom was pissed.

OMG!! Jade, yes I remember. Thank you for making me feel better. Do you also remember the newer version of the, I'd like to teach the world to sing commercial? It started off showing the old commercial and then it went to te 90's and children were singing it and along comes the original group who happens to be their parents. I don't know what it was about that commercial but made me a little misty too.

Remember that rumor that Mickey from the life commercial ate pop rocks and coke and died because his stomach exploded?
