[Sorry people, (perhaps this is my opportunity to distract you away from the thread about my pic long enough for it to go away so I can stop blushing) but I was just driving in my car and singing and dancing (as usual) to the music. ]

Well, a time came when no good songs were on, so I turned off the music and started singing to entertain myself (how sad is that?)

Well you know what I started singing?

"Bold hold, new bold hold, it's the ultimate power hold; it's wild! Maximum hold for maximum style, new bold hold new BOLD HOLD!"

Yea baby ... so then I was on a rollll!!

"Whatever it is I think I see, becomes a tootsie roll to me... " and then "OH I wish I were an Oscar Meyer Weiner, 'cause that is what I ..."

Okay so... get my point?

Is it really so sad that I remember theme songs from
COMMERCIALS??
It took me by complete surprise that I remembered this stuff! I mean He-man on the cartoon thread, sure and regular music, sure but... commercials?
I SWEAR I am NOT a T.V. junkie, but... geeez, what does this say about the space in my brain and what I am using it for? LOL

So.... SOMEONE... ANYONE... PLEASE TELL ME I AM NOT ALONE!
Sing me a commerical baby!

Jade its ok I sing Theme songs

I dont even have a television ugh!!

Fresh Prince of Bel-air
In West Philadelphia, born and raised on a playground is where I spent most of my days chillin out back and relaxin all cool and shootin some bball outside school.
When a coupla guys say youre up to no good , trying to start trouble in the neighborhead. get in one lil fight and my moms got scared and said "your moving with your auntie and uncle in belair"
I whistle for a cab and it came near the liscence plate said fresh and had a dice in a mirror. If anything I could tell that this cab was rare but I thought man forget, yo homes in belair. I pulled up to a house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie "you homie smell ya later" i looked at my kingdom I was finally there to sit on my thrown as the prince of belair.

No Jade, My friend. You're not alone.

I too seem to remember all those silly commercials, Especially the songs.
Hell, I've been trying to get the Swiffer song out of my head for a month now LOL.
The damn things just seem to clue themselves to my brain. UGH!

So Jade, you're definately not alone :)

I'm not taking the bait!

You hot, woman! Hubba hubba, drool drool.

Now come on, everbody... say it with me:

We want snatch! We want snatch!

(p.s. don't freak out, Jadebabe. Haven't looked at the pic. I just know that it's hot). ;)

Jade, not only are you not alone, I think I'm the president of that club, especially when it comes to any sitcom or commercial or song from the 80's. That was definetly my era.

I remember my nephew signing

Plop, plop, fizz, fizz
Oh what a relief it is!!

Over, and over, and over again. (I think that's part of a song too. I remember something like that from the skating rink. Maybe someone can help me with the rest.)

I work in the passenger transport industry and find I whistle (out of tune for the most part) as I drive.
I was questioned recently by a passenger as to my choice of song while driving.
It was a rainy day, raining so hard the droplets bounce back up 6 feet then fell again.
When I asked why she wanted to know she informed me I was whistling "it's raining men" well damn my baby blue eyes I had not realised, and as a straight guy it gave us both a good laugh.

Guys give me a kiss and I'll tell you the rest LOL.

No your not alone I do the same thing all the time. The worst though is when your in your car belting out the jingle and someone catches you in the car beside you! I then know what those little old ladies see when they sit in thier car.LOL

Bonnie

Guilty, here also Jade! No, its not just you. What I find really irritating is when you hear someone else singing it and then two hours later, I'm humming the same tune to myself..arggg! The power of suggestion!!

**Here's the story, of a lovely lady..
Who was bringing up three very lovely girls....

<running and ducking for cover before the crowds start throwing things at him:D>

YES YES YES!!!

Thank you! I can die happy now! LOL

Yes Merlin, I know just what you mean!

Well Jade what is really embarrassing is when you start singing those old commercials which I do to like so many of you it is hard to get out of your head. And your kids look at you funny and ask what your singing. And the never heard of it. Either because the commercial no longer exsists or changed. Now that is when you know you are OLD>

At the top of your lungs now, all together!

Armor, Armor hot dogs
What kind of kid eats Armor hot dogs?
Fat kids, skinny kids, kids who climb on rocks!
Tall kids, short kids, even kids with chicken pox
eat hot dogs,
Armor hot dogs,
The dogs kids love to bite!

I'm probably showing my age again. That commercial has to be from the late 60's- back when I was a kid and chicken pox were common!

LOL at Jade. Just make sure that you find other things to make you happy until that day comes. And may it be a L - O - N - G time coming.

Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too?

Jade,

Try explaining to your co-workers why you have the theme song to three different kid's show stuck in your head at 6:00 in the morning!

"We are looking for Blue's Clues.."
"Willy Nilly, Silly ole Bear...."
"La La La Elmo's Songggggggg..."

btw great pic!

OH OH oh speaking of Dr. Pepper.. remember that one from the early 90's?

"You're a part of me that's the heart of me
Without you I'm just a lonely.. melody!
But together we, we are harmony
You'll always be a part of me
Dr Pepper you're a part of me!"

Sorry, wasn't hear in the early '90's.

He's a Pepper,
She's a Pepper,
Wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too?

The sun will always shine, the birds will always sing.. As long as there is thirst, there's always the real thing..

And of course my favorite new one:

My name is David, my friends call me D, one hungry young dog I be..

Talk about flashback from the 80's...

"All you gotta do is just PUMP, PUMP..."
Remember that awful Noxzema commercial??

The most loathed one of all time, though is:

"I love the fishes cuz their so delicious... gon' go fishin'..."
Gets in my head and never gets out!

Ummmmm, it's been a closely guarded secret of mine, but back in the mid 80s, late late at night when the horny DJ was on, I used to call up and request he play the 7up commercial in my sultriest voice. Sometimes he did and sometimes he had already spanked his monkey.

Endlessly said:

YEA BABY YEA!! LMAO!!

Then it goes "doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo always Coca Cola."

KILLM: are you serious?! LOL

SEXY: I get that one in my head a LOT! LOL .. haha!

These for me it's:

"I want my baby back baby back baby back ... CHILE's baby back ribs!"

Unfortunately, yes. I had this... thing... for the sound of the guy's voice that sang it. Bubbling teenage hormones? Ductless glands gone awry? Who can say.

*sheepishly digs in the dirt with her toe*

I am about to sound like a complete loser, but I loved those old McDonalds commercials. They use to bring tears to my eyes, especially the one where the guy was singing about his little sister and how she grew up and was moving away. Does anyone else remember that one or am I totally alone.
