You pointed it out yourself....there's more guys than women....I literally get a ton of messages from random guys all the time. Sometimes the convo isn't something i'm into, and I move on.

Mellowgirl, if you don't care for the random PMs so much, set your appears online option to "Invisible" in the options section of your User CP. Many of the leg humpers troll the Who's Online list and forum posts for people with names that sound female [enough], then send out random PMs. I still get random PMs, but far, far fewer than I did when I didn't browse invisibly.

Quantum, don't engage in it if you can't handle the results. There's no rule saying you have to communicate with inconsiderate people here, or even communicate in a sexual way. If you'd like to engage in some form of sexual activity, find yourself a good partner or five through a thorough vetting process. Part of that should probably include checking a potential partner's post history; a guy who engages publicly with everyone (irrespective of gender and perceived physical traits) on a variety of topics in an intelligent, respectful way over a long period of time is likely a much better bet than a guy who randomly PMs or spends most of his time posting in AmPics or Personals. In my experience, partners (sexual or not) who are worth my time are willing to put in the time and effort required to get to know me (and vice versa) and establish a friendship. You don't have to change your attitude, just the company you keep, to find tons of great people here.

It really is not too difficult to imagine this wee bundle of unresolved issues being abandoned during chat. With the attitude displayed and the swift manner the weather changes in it's head, I imagine it has been left alone more than once in a restaurant, across the table from a half-eaten meal and with the check.


As to the OP, there are certainly ways one can go about getting your user name banned, but it won't keep you from the site, or serve you well. You'll likely lurk.

Take a break and try to understand how and why things got to this point. You understanding this will help you when (if) you return, whether here or another forum.
The last thing you want is to return or join someplace under a new username and have the same thing happen again. Or worse, take your frustrations out on others, and find yourself lashing out at others randomly and without cause (see example above).

As to the OP, getting banned most likely will not keep you from lurking. I'd suggest getting someone you trust to change your password for you so you aren't tempted to log in, but otherwise you're probably better off trying to work through why it is you feel this way. Giving it a break for a while is probably a good idea, I do sometimes.
