Actually, the sub-forum you were looking for does exist, tucked away in the story feedback forum, labeled Searching for a Story. (Here's a link.)
As one of the people who wander through there from time to time, I'm afraid I can't help with this particular story as it doesn't ring any bells. However, I would also mention that tucked away in that forum are some pretty detailed instruction for being able to search through both the site and from outside using browser search.
I'm sorry I couldn't pop the specific title off my tongue (or fingers as the case may be), not least because it does sound like an interesting premise. But, I hope I've at least been a little more helpful than a butt boil.
