ICQ Authorization Requests

I don't know if this is happening with a lot of people or just me but I have recieved a lot of request for people who visit Lit, and members alike, to be added to my ICQ list (I have 1 just for Lit chatters). The thing is I add almost everyone who requests (if they mention Literotica) my list is sooooooo freakin long now. Out of all those I may speak to 4 on a regular basis. Some on my list I have not chatted with even once.

Whats the point of requesting ICQ authorization if you never plan on talking/chatting to that person? Just somethin I am curious about *shrugs*

I know exactly what you mean there Savage, I have a long list of people on mine too.

The trouble is, although I request peoples numbers when they get in touch, I never seem to be able to get back to them.

Or when they try to get in touch, I have two or three on the go all ready.

It was all very frustrating, until a friend told me to plan ahead, or schedule a chat.

It's just an idea, but if those that give out their names tried it, you'd get to hear from more of them.

By the way, get in touch, and I'll give you mine, only I will chat with you.

I spend waaaaaay too much time on the computer as it is. This BB and my personal e-amil take up so much time that I couldn't possibly consider opening another window to Cyber-Land. (Thanks Carl, for clearing up just exactly what ICQ is, though. Now I don't feel so left out of the Techno-glossary loop).

I know what ya mean DCL.. I just thought it would be a good way for folks from Lit to get in touch with me if they wanted... it's not that i really need yet another thing to occupy my time

I wonder if i should send out a message to all my ICQ list 'buds' thanking them for the request and asking if there was anything in particulaer they hoped to get out of it ?? *chuckles* that wouldn't be rude of me ... would it?
