Ah dear PoeTess we are fine although we lost power for around five hours on Friday, long enough for it to get really cold in our little home for a while, but nothing serious. We're still not out of the woods because apparently as the temps rise (uh tomorrow, it is stunningly cold here today) above freezing and the ice melts, the tree branches will snap back and may pull down more power lines. Oy. But the worst of the ice storm is south of us--southern Maine and northern New Hampshire, I hear. I was really thinking for a while there that we'd have to go to a shelter (there's no way you can spend a night without power when it's this cold), but while ee was out searching down batteries for our radio, the power came back on. I did the half-frozen dance of joy. And thanks for the Gershwin; he always brings warmth to me.

Oh yes Shagly, it's way slippery here and not in a good way. You could ice skate in my parking lot. So to speak.

Now if I can just meet my editing deadline by tomorrow....
