The Food Court:
50 or so tables that could each seat 4 we scattered around the big open area. Some of the tables were pushed together to form a table that could seat 6-8 people. Some tables had chairs taken away from them and moved to other tables. All the tables were clean and the chairs were all nice chairs with a cushioned bottom.

10 mini-restaurants where you could get take-out were positioned around the edge. The types of food are Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Thai, Italian, Greek, hamburgers, hotdogs, ice cream, and cinnamon buns. The Chinese place, Mexican place, hamburger place, and cinnamon bun place all had small lines forming.

It was near lunch time on a Saturday and people were packing into the mall. Pretty soon the food court would be full, the food lines long and the tables occupied.

Great Expectations:
This store is 50% raver and 50% punker. You can get everything you need for that big punk concert and at the same time in the same place everything you need for the big rave that is bound to be after the concert. Every so often an ecstasy bust will go down in front of the store because some stupid kid though he wouldn't get caught, but today the store is clean.

As you walk into the store the first thing you notice is that the entire place is black and lighted solely by blacklights, which you could get here on sale all the time. Glow in the dark paint was splattered all over the walls. The right side of the store had all the strictly punk stuff and the left side of the store had all the strictly raver stuff. The middle was packed with the stuff that could be considered either punk or raver or both.

The two staff workers were wearing black pants and white t-shirts. In special blacklight paint on the shirt the words "Great Expectations" were written. They were walking around helping the few people that were in there find the items they wanted.

The Record Store:
This is your generic music store. A huge store with every possible music genre, artist, or group you could possibly imagine with every possible way to hear it.

In the middle of the store is all the CD's. On the left wall are the different booths where you could listen to samples of music. The upper left part of the store contains sheet music and below that in the lower left is the cassettes. The right wall of the store has all the different music players, everything from vintage jukeboxes to boom boxes. Upper right of the store is full of old 8-tracks and the lower right has all the old and vintage records.

Four people are in the store as workers. They are identified by their blue pants, white button-up shirts and black ties. Lots of people are mingling through the CD's and one of the workers is behind the counter ringing people up.

Athena walked into the mall at took her seat in the food court. She was hoping to meet up with some friends here but wasn't sure if she would see anyone she knew here or not.

She checked her wallet and decided she had just enough for a cinnamon bun so she stands and heads over to the line that i forming in front of the tiny shop.

Autumn strode into the food court in her designer miniskirt and t-shirt. She glanced around not seeing anyone she knew. Sighing softly she headed over for a cinnamon bun.. her favorite at the mall. entering the line she accidently bumped into a young woman. "Oops I'm so sorry" she said apologetically "I was lost in thought and didn't see you." She smiled warmly

OOC: She bumped into you moonalien just so there is no confusin lol.

Athena

Athena laughed when she heard the girls words.

"Let me guess, you were lost in thought thinking about how delicious this Cinnabon your getting in line for is going to be right?"

She smiled warmly and gestured for the girl to stand beside her in line.

"Or at least that's what I think about when I get lost in thought in line for a Cinnamon Bun, and judging my the way some of the people in front of me are licking their lips, I'm not the only one..."

Autumn nodded "Yes these are my favorite. I have to buy one every time I come to the mall. It is almost as necessary as breathing." She extended her hand "Im Autumn, it's nice to meet you"

Jake walks around the music shop sulking abit over his recent break up. It isnt sad, he knew it was comming. But when it happened it felt...bad. He didnt much like the girl but everything reminded him of her. He came to the mall to get his mind off her but it sure as hell wasnt working. Jake looked down at a cd and stared at it. It was one that he had gave his girl friend on her birthday. He began to feel upset and stormed out of the store.
The only thing that could cure him now was hot lezbian sex, but there wasnt any for sale in the mall so a Cinnamon Bun would have to do.
He walked over to the shop and was depresed to see a line. He looked the line over and started to debate wether or not he wanted to wait until he saw her. Any thought of another girl was just slamed out of his head. She looked great. The debate was over time to hop in line.
Brain fart.....cant think.....what should I say?
"Excuse me but I see that you like the buns hot." The warm smile that was hopefully greating the girl was now a confused look of shame. What kind of line was that?!?! Well hopefully the best will come out of this and the girl will shot me now. Jakes face flushes to red quick and he freezes in his shoes.

Athena

"Yes these are my favorite. I have to buy one every time I come to the mall. It is almost as necessary as breathing." She extended her hand "Im Autumn, it's nice to meet you"

Athena took the hand and shook it calmly. "Athena, but everyone calls me Ena... It took alot of people a long time to figure out they could shorten my name like that..."

She moved forward as the line did and was about to say something more hen a definaltly male speciman approached them. When he said his rather cheesy line all she could do was raise an eyebrow and look at Autumn. After all, raising an eyebrow was better then laughing at the poor guy.

Autumn couldn't stop the giggle the escaped her mouth. She pressed her lips together stopping it's progress. "Umm yes I do prefer my cinnamon buns hot. They are much better that way." she felt bad for the guy as he flushed bright red at his faux pau. So she smiled warmly and gestured for him to join them in line. He did see like a nice guy even if he was a little awkward. She glanced at Athena hoping she wouldn't mind. The poor guy really needed a confidence boost after his apparent embarressment. "I'm Autumn, and you are?"

He could see them hold back there laughter and started to turn to walk away when he heard what seemed to be miles off.
"I'm Autumn, and you are?"
I was definatly not what he was expecting to hear. What now!? My name yes that is it.
"Jake, sorry about that thing with the words. I suck at talking."
He smiles at the two and looks forward at the line. Maybe this wont be that bad.

Athena

Athena smiled. "Hi, I'm Athena, or Ena for short... whichever you perfer."

They were up next now and her mouth was starting to water imagining the cinnaminy sweet taste in her mouth.

"So, Jake, what brings you too the mall?" she asked trying to make conversation.

Autumn could also smell the sweet smell and she couldn't wait to get her cinnamon bun. She smiled at Jake waiting for his answer to Athena's question.

"Well it is nice to meet you. I'm just trying to get my mind off some things. What about you girls?" Jake motions for them to order first.

Athena

Athena step up to the counter and orders a cinnamon bun with extra icing. As se is handed her order she steps aside for the other two. She grabs a fork and a knife.

"Well, I come every saturday simply because it's like a tradition. Ever sinc I was little I came to the mall every saturday," she shrugged, "even after my mom stopped wanting to take me I still came."

A thousand thoughts go through Jakes head, trying to make what he belives to be calculations. Attributes, apperances, and personality charateristics fly around in his mind like numbers. On the physical side Athena deffinatly had high marks, and eventhough Jake was proud of his ablity to think more with his head and heart then his pants he was still fixated on her. Athena's attributes were not to hard to decifer. She wasn't wearing flashy jewelry and was in what he considered regular clothes. She must be moderaly well off as far as money. And she looked very "cuted up" for just a tradional trip to the mall. She must be ether a girly girl or meeting someone she wants to impress. That brang up another number into the problem. How could a girl like this not have a boy freind? Jake added the "numbers" and concluded the fallowing:

5+2+1= "So, Ena, are you single?" 9

WHAT!?!?! NINE! 5+2+1 is clearly 8!
.......Did i just ask if she was single?....!!!
 Jake tries hard to not go red but his tounge has made a fool of him again. He thinks he does well at hiding the embarasement but can only imagine what Athena is thinking now.

Athena

Athena could feel his eyes wondering over her and in a way 'checking her out.' She didn't care, that's what she came to the mall for, although she would never admit it. You could meet the most interesting people at the mall, and then again you could also meet potential dates at the mall. Today it looked like she had suceeded in the later, and it was only noon!

She smiled at Jake and shrugged innocently, "I havn't had a boyfriend in about two years actually..."

However true that statement was sh did have dates on a regular basis and even a few bedroom sessions, but that was for her to find out.

((Quick OOC: to keep it moving, I'll have Athena watching the time on a regular basis, the mall will close at about 7))

Walker sat at a corner table isolating him from the ever growing mob of diners. He glanced across at the cinamon bun line and smiled to himself. He spotted some guy approach two young ladies with obvious intentions, make an ass of himself yet get away with it. The guy seemed surprised as was Walker. Walker shook his head and popped a cigarrette in his mouth. He never understood how people could do that. Ah well he wouldnt lose any sleep over it. Pulling a book from his jacket pocket he began to read.

Autumn orderd her cinnamon bun smiling as the scent reached her. Yumm she thought to herself and smiled at the guys question. He was oviously smitten with Athena. Deciding to leave the two to their devices she took a vacant table next to a guy with his nose in the book. She licked her lips ready to enjoy her bun.

Jake orders his bun then truns to Athena.
"Do you mind if I sit with you?"
He sees Autumn leave and gets alil down. It was easier when it wasnt just the two of them, but maybe he can get to know Athena better now. Jake looks the area over and sees that there arent many tables left, and that there are still people coming in. He looks back to Athena.

eye of night

Walker looked around he was getting very uncomfortable, the cafe was almost jam packed he thought about leaving for some privacy then shook his head. He looked across at the table next to him and saw two of the three people from the cinamon bun line were sitting there, The young girl and the guy. He let his eyes linger one the girl for a few seconds he could see she was the type of girl who was used to thissort of attetion from guys and he could see why cursing himself for staring he got back to his book.

Autumn finished her cinnamon bun with relish. Sighing softly she glanced around looking for someone to talk to. Well Athena and that guy seemed to be hitting it off so she didn't want to disturb them. Her gaze slid over the people seated and settled on the man she had noticed earlier with his nose in a book. He seemed tense, uncomfortable. Perfect reason to talk to him. Standing up and approached his table a welcoming smile on her lips. "Hi, mind if I sit down?"

Walker glanced up and looked around. When he was sure she was talking to him he replied "umm sure" he wanted to get up and leave right then but he knew he could not, instead he gave a weak smiled and signalled for her to sit down.

Damien liked the store, but mostly cause the light was barely there. Most stores have that horrible flourescent shit just pounding down on you. But, this store, Great Expectations, it had all the lights turned off, it had a nice calm feel to it. A good vibe.

He could already feel himself relaxing. Fucking crowds, people, public made him stiff and tense. He hated the shit. It pissed him off worse than anything else, but if he closed his eyes in here, he was nearly invisible.

Nothing in this store spoke to him. He couldn't imagine buying some stupid poster, or lava lamp, or cheap ass necklace or anything. Black lights were for high school kids who got high or took shrooms, so they could see all the pretty colors.

He had stopped looking at the pretty colors a long time ago.

Walker was nervous as hell he was shaking like a leaf and he could feel sweat foriming on his forehead. He stubbed out his ciggarette and smiled at his company unsure of how to start the conversation. He had spent so long detaching himself from everyone he just didnt have the heart to do it to her, he didnt know why.

Autumn noticed the man seemed tense and uncomfortable. But not in an offending way. She smiled softly "My name is Autumn. No need to get nervous I don't bite." She giggled softly shrugging "May I ask your name?" She tried not to but she always seemed flirtatious with guys. Though she thought he was attractive she didn't think he would return her attentions so for now she would try cheering him up. He really looked like he could use some cheering up.

"sorry" he apologised "My name is walker, you have a pretty name" He smiled running a hand through his silver streaked black hair "what brings you to the mall?" he asked trying to keep the conversation flowing.

Autumn shrugged glancing around "Mostly for the cinnamon buns" she smiled "They may not be to healthy but I'm a weakling when it comes to hot and sweet things" she continued to smile innocently. "What about you? The mall isnt the best place ot get some reading in" she suspected he was looking for company even if he didn't know it.
