IAEA Returned Monitoring Equipment in May to Iran

I didn't see anything on this back when it occurred. The IAEA made a deal with Iran to return some monitoring equipment that had been removed once the JCPOA deal fell apart.

Thanks to 45, Iran basically told them to fuck off. The focus of the right was on money that went to possible terrorism rather than giving the country nuclear bombs. (Particularly one that has publicly decried the end of Israel)

The retreat from the jcpoa led directly to Iran reaching capacity of nuclear weapons.

After then-President Donald Trump pulled the United States out of that deal in 2018 and re-imposed sanctions, Iran breached and moved well beyond the deal's nuclear restrictions, to the point IAEA chief Rafael Grossi has called the deal an "empty shell" and diplomats say there are scant chances of reviving it. One IAEA report on Wednesday said Iran now had 114.1 kg of uranium enriched to up to 60% and in the form of uranium hexafluoride (UF6), which can easily be enriched further - an increase of 26.6 kg from the previous quarter.

As an aside, Irans breach of the agreement, would've led to immediate sanctions by all member countries. Once the US left, none of those sanctions were imposed across the board and instead were only implemented by a few.

Be interesting to hear trump’s response about this turn of events

To me, this was the biggest blunder of Trump's administration. He singlehandedly set back world diplomacy by 100 years. What Second or Third world country is now going to ever trust the US on any deal? When they know and have witnessed that the next (or future) administration can just tear up the deal.

It's been months. I'd be interested to hear anyone's response.

I don't remember hearing anything from anyone.

The ability of the current right wing to abandon any diplomatic avenues is absurd...but the flip flopping absolutely ruins credibility.

Credibility is everything. Even here in Canada, arguably the country with the closest relationship with the US there are now doubts about the sanctity of agreements with the US. That should be very worrisome for citizens of both countries.
