so I'll share it. It's not really a poem so I doubt I'll post it. It's much better with music behind it, and I'm not quite finished with it. But it is a peice of writing that I am the author of, so I thought I could just put it here if anyone wants to read it.

{No title}

Blue morning, black curtains, alone
You wake up
In a perfect white room with your favorite flowers in the window

A rainy day, a broken heart for your pretty smile
The sheets are cold
And you wake up

Sunday through vacant eyes
I’m sorry ‘bout the lies I told when I thought we’d make it
I’m sorry I disguised myself while you stayed so naked
Can we talk about it?
Can we talk about this, yet?

Well I’m just a liar, and three’s just a crowd
I built you a bridge before I broke it all down
Everything we said about the memories to come
Everyone says you’re a slut but everyone’s dumb

Sunday through vacant eyes
I’m sorry ‘bout the lies I told when I thought we’d make it
I’m sorry I despise myself and I just can’t fake it
Can we talk about it?

Someday we’ll compromise
And say the things we never said, still locked in the basement
And we’ll pretend we’re innocent and won’t have to face it
Can we talk about it?

Blue morning, black curtains, alone
You wake up
In an otherwise perfect white room
