:(

Sorry... it's the female hip structure.

Woman hips make me :nana:

Otherwise I would be SOOOO there!

Hmm... except for boobs, they make me go :nana: too.

Oh and pussy.

I've had some that it felt like God should just take me right then and there 'cause it wasn't going to get better.

Dammit! I'm doomed to straighthood!

And I SOOOO like show tunes and being a catty-bitch about fashion!!!!

Sincerely,
ElSol

Except for the show tunes and fashion, I couldn't agree more. :p

Everyone knows the Dukes of Hazzard is what makes people gay, not Baz Luhrman.

BWAH!

Yes.

And my husband loved Moulin Rouge. Great flick.

Interesting musical arrangements - unusual, different, exciting and fun.

I mean honestly - Roxanne, sung by Jacek Koman, set to a tango, with dancers?

Excellent.

I know!

I know!

I KNOW!!!

And the soundtrack has Jose Feliciano in it... I wish the soundtrack had the movie version but with Jose's part too.

*SIGH*

My favorite part of the movie...

ROXANNE!!!

I know it all by heart. Love that musical.

But the unusual arrangements make some people uncomfortable.

But Roxanne is so - powerful. The way that song loops into the near rape scene with the Duke, the way the anger/lust/sex work, the way the sexy dancers move with the powerful rage, set to a TANGO - wow.

Powerful. And very well done.

I bought the DVD the day it was available. I already had soundtracks.

Gay men want to claim anything that is "fabulous". I mean, if straight people can be fabulous without Gayness... the universe would collapse wouldn't it?

Truer words have never been spoken!

I really like show tunes, and I once kissed a really cute guy on New Year's Eve, and he was a good kisser, and I was drunk and (mostly) high, and I was FABULOUSLY dressed, and I didn't get a boner. That doesn't happen with girls.

Moulin Rouge is not gay.

Actually, my buddies and I were huge fans and made a drinking game of it--we played it often. We even played it graduation night, when we finished commencement.

Gets the chicks everytime. And Nicole Kidman is what a woman should be. Yowza.

I have never seen the movie but I used to watch the TV show fairly often, mainly for a look at :p Daisy :p Duke. :p I don't see how any man could look at her and remain gay. :nana:

I don't know how they could compile that list and not include "Rocky Horror".

For the following reasons:

I'm just very glad that Brokeback Mountain didn't get a mention. I hated that film.

Astounded that Interview With A Vampire didn't get in. Now that's a film that'll make straight guys gay.

It might not do much for straight women. I didn't like the movie much, and I'm a theater geek.

I'm here to perv on ElSol.

I was talking about the TV show and it wasn't Daisy I was looking at.
It was the thinly veiled, slightly incestuous homoerotic thrill of Bo and Luke.

I tried to watch it last night but it filled me with such dread and sadness I had to turn it off.

One more vote for Brokeback being turn-off worthy. Tried watching and I got bored and angry FAST.

Oddly enough because Jake Gyllenhaal couldn't ride horses without looking like someone who had never been on, kicking and yanked on the horse's mouth in a really painful way, and Heath Ledger's mouth was full of marbles.

Way to make two extremely talented and attractive men repulsive.
