Well this got my attention.
This morning I received a notice informing me that a complaint had been lodged against me and my wife. The complaint? Our yard was a mess and needed to be cleaned up. It commented about piles of yard waste and building materials.
When I looked around our place I did see Pine Needles on the yard, but no piles of them as had been specified. I also didn't see piles of building materials. (I did see a bucket I use to trickle water our two new trees.)
On the other hand I did see these same piles behind my new neighbors place. Okay now I'm getting an inkling of what's going on. My wife and I set to work with a rake, bags and a trash can. We raked our yard, bagging the Pine Needles as we went. We even bagged up the piles from my new neighbors yard. (After I took pictures which clearly showed where in the yard they were.) We also picked up the wood scraps, the paint cans and other debris from their painting the outside of their place.
We had just finished and piled the bags on the curb for pickup tomorrow when the lady across the street came over to say hi. She commented on how neat our ard was and asked about our raking it. She also made the comment that she thought some was a bit strange about our new neighbors. As we were talking our neighbor pulled in. His wife came out of their place to greet him and as they were heading back in he said hi to me and my neighbor.
Well right after that the other truck registered to the place pulled in. Out climbed another guy and his wife. This guy, whom I have seen from time to time is a very cagy customer. He has bever spoken to me and always seems to be in a hurry. He didn't acknowledge us and just hustled his wife inside. (He is the one I think called in the complaint.)
Okay I'm not going to say anything right now. I am going to keep my eyes and ears open from now on though. (As is Carmen, the woman who lives across the road.) If this guy wants to pla games like this he's in for a surprise. I happen to know he's not the one who paid for the place. (The friendly guy is.) I also know the rules he's playing fast and loose with. I too have a copy of them and guess what. The rules clearly state only one family (ie husband and wife with children) per two bedroom trailer.
