I was just browsing around and I saw this forum, I thought I'd be a good fit since I have kind of unusual fetishes myself.

I concur. I have a hard time believing prostitution is illegal due to the health risks though. It would be difficult to market, consequently, it would be difficult to tax.

As for bible-thumpers: I live in the bible belt. I'm kind of amazed people still buy into it, but what can you do?

Prostitution isn't illegal everywhere you know, and theycan pay tax like everyone else in the sex workers industry. And most of those that I know very particular about their health, using safe sex practices and constant health checkups. But it would be much easier for them and the rest of us for that matter if there were no STDs. While it can be an inconvenience to have a current medical certificate it's a really good thing to have one.

Sadly disease is always with us taking away from the absolute enjoyment of sex outside of a completely monogamous relationship (which can be loads of fun).

While pregnancy is an issue it can be prevented and dealt with, but some STD's can ruin a person's life.

I think that is why so many like erotica. It is place where they can escape to and not worry about such things.
