It reminds me of the time my car broke down on an isolated desert road in early July. I couldn't get the car to start back up, and I had no water. There was no traffic.
After waiting an hour in the 106 degree heat, I started walking. It was probably about three hours later, still miles from any sort of well-traveled highway, that I passed out, totally delirious from the heat.
They found my body three weeks later. The buzzards had picked in clean.
