It was my first time meeting someone from online ever. At first, I thought he was really nervous, which is okay, because I was nervous too. But everything seemed to be going okay. Then all of the sudden, he says he has to go and that I'm really nice but it just wouldn't work out. I asked him why.

He said, "You look too much like my ex. I thought that was a good thing, but it's really distracting."

i don't understand why you're confused. that would totally suck. boys have feelings, too.

He didn't even give you a chance?

I won't call him any bad names but I want to.

We hung out for a few hours.

I get that he doesn't want to be reminded of his ex, but then why did he want to go on a date with me?

I hate to tell you all this especially th OP but the you look like my ex lines bogus.

Don't worry about it.

It's odd because he knew what I looked like before.

well, yeah. i got that from your post. but i get why it might be more of an issue than he might have thought beforehand once he was there in the moment. i'm guessing dude aint over the breakup in one or the other and seeing someone right there in front of him who looks like his ex was likely causing him to think way too much about shit he really didn't want to think about.

was he a fool? definitely, but an understandable fool. it's just too bad you got taken for a ride on his emotional roller coaster, but you can also be thankful that he let you off before it could get truly fucked up and weird.

Wow, sorry about that Polly. I'm really surprised someone went on a tinder date that didn't end in sex...sorry about that, too. :rose:

Maybe that's it then.

Eh, I am gonna bet he was hoping for a quick hookup and you were too nice for him to push for it.

I say you track down his doppelganger ex, befriend her, then have the two of you do a "separated-at-birth-sisters" girls' night out on the town.

Limoncello from lemons and all that! ;)
