*That* would be interesting.

What interesting building would you like to call home? A bank? A warehouse?

Rooms to Go.

:D

Aside from the glass windows in front, that would be kinda cool.

A theater - fully equipped with a 40-foot proscenium, full rigging, flies, wings, lifts, scene and costume shops, prop vaults, green room with kitchen, 2,000 seats in the house, a huge marquee and plenty of parking.

a bit drafty I should think...

Of course, I am thinking of Carfax Abbey while I type this...

Personally, a Spanish Mission or Gothic Palace on Lake Las Vegas would be mighty nice...

Okay... I'm going to play copycat.

I would love to live in a theater...

It wouldn't have to be as extragavant as the one phro described. I'd also prefer to have a bedroom/kitchen up above the light booth. :D I want to be able to watch plays from my breakfast table. ;)

I also love to lay up in the catwalks above the audience.

I had the strangest idea to live in a houseboat the other day...maybe I could just live on a cruise ship? :D

a room in (an underground) dwarven town built into a mountain. preferably one in a solitary mountain in the northern land known as Icewind Dale. nothing in the world would be finer.

but that's just me.

I always thought converting a church would be cool too. An old bank (think of the possibilities) or a movie theater might be cool, too.

A castle of course

A castle, high on a hill, on an island.

With lots of servants for the mundane chores, keeping the cobwebs to a minimum etc.

And dungeons, lots of lovely dungeons.

Can't help you with the Cathedral. But we do have an abandoned Catholic Church in town.

Back Again

Trevenian. I believe the hero of the Loo Sanction and the Eiger sanction lived in an old converted church.

Red Rose...I like

Um...oh, now I remember

I thought this would be a weird thread, but it touches on something that iz the E.A. Poe in me

H.P. Lovecraft

Zep and Ozzie

But it would be way too cold and wet to live in an old Cathedral

I've yet to get to Stonehenge or Giza or South America

I have been to some old Indian caves in Chatsworth, California:cool:

I went to Stonehedge, but that was when I was very young, I didn't know the history about it then.

E.A. Poe I read, enjoyed, but a strange man indeed!
The Raven is one of his.
House of Usher another I remember, oh yes and the famous "Pendulum"

How about

a mansion that looked like a castle right on the beach anywhere in the world is fine with me:cool:

Spring Images
-by James Wright

Two athletes
Are dancing in the cathedral
Of wind.

A butterfly lights on the branch
Of your green voice.

Small antelopes
Fall asleep in the ashes
Of the moon.

I saw your thread title and had to repost this poem from last night.

Cathedrals are cool. I would like to live in an abandoned nuclear missle silo or just have killer helicopter that is huge and outfitted like a motorhome or just a big yacht/schooner and sail around the world. :)

My fortune cookie the other day said:

Your daily life is your temple

So I suppose I will be happy no matter what type of building I live in.

But make it small. Don't want to spend all my time cleaning the castle.
